This is a VERY quick opinion because I only got to see about five plays of Beau.
At the very least, I saw the arm cannon. During those final 30 seconds, Beau delivered a few beautiful balls deep downfield. One ball, in particular, was rifled down the middle of the field and went right through the hands of his receiver, who probably wasn’t expecting such a rocket of a throw. His other passes were equally on point, equally as hard-thrown, and Beau nearly willed his team to overtime or a 2-pt to win it.

I’ve spoken about Beau a few times this offseason. Generally, he’s an extremely talented dual-threat QB with real Power 4 upside. Beau is also one of my most anticipated transfers, as he’s now at West Bloomfield. Although Beau is on a new team, the level of competition remains the same, the scheme changes in his favor (in my opinion), and his weapons have been upgraded.
Let’s dive into Beau’s highlight tape. Most of the tape shows Beau standing strong in the pocket, and rifling the ball downfield. I especially like the variety of Beau’s throws. I watch a lot of tape in which the QB tends to favor different parts of the field far more than other parts. Beau on the other hand, spreads the ball out a ton. Credit to both Beau and the DCC scheme, but the fact that Beau can throw it to the middle of the field and boundaries just as well is great. In addition, Beau throws the ball with great power and solid accuracy. He can have better placement + timing, so I’ll look for him to improve those areas this season. I’m excited to see what Beau will be able to do at West Bloomfield! If he plays at his best, Beau could lead West Bloomfield to Ford Field this season.

Beau kind of changed my mind on him when I saw him work, I knew he was good, but it was hard to put a label on just where he belonged in the pecking order. He made a case for being a high P5 conference recruit quickly at the Saginaw Valley 7 on 7 tournament. Jackson made incredible with elite ball placement, and had major zip on the ball to thread it through tight closing windows. He has a beautiful release, and with the added threat of being able to scramble, he will have defenses guessing on just how he is going to pick them apart.
