St. Marys enters 2026 looking to build on an 8-3 season and continue the steady success the program has established under longtime head coach Jodi Mote. The Blue Devils return several important pieces, led by senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1697685' first='Jeremiah' last='DeMoss'], who brings valuable experience and will take on a bigger leadership role this season. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1624431' first='Elijah' last='Kimball'] is another key returner after emerging as an important two-way contributor as a sophomore. With a strong group of returning players and younger athletes stepping into larger roles, St. Marys has the pieces to have another strong season and make a bigger run in the postseason.

2027 St. Marys OL [player_tooltip player_id='2148018' first='Deion' last='Mosley'] is a tough matchup at the Class A level in the trenches due to his 6'4 365 frame and natural power. Mosley has the size to overwhelm defenders, but he also moves well enough for his size to pull and get to the second level when asked. He is still sharpening his technique and working to improve his frame, but the tools are there to be a serious college prospect as a senior. Mosley is an under-the-radar lineman who could make a big jump as a senior if he continues putting everything together.

2027 St. Marys ATH/LB [player_tooltip player_id='1697685' first='Jeremiah' last='DeMoss'] is coming off a junior season that showed just how valuable he can be on both sides of the ball. DeMoss accounted for 19 total touchdowns offensively while also emerging as one of the Blue Devils' top defenders, giving St. Marys a versatile senior leader to build around. His athleticism and physical style make him a natural fit at linebacker, while his ability with the ball adds another dimension offensively. DeMoss will be one of the better players in Class A this season and has the opportunity to have a big senior year.

There is a lot to like about the way [player_tooltip player_id='2060069' first='Lennie' last='Hartshorn'] competes in the middle of the St. Marys defense. The 2027 DL may not have prototypical size, but he makes up for it with a quick first step, good leverage and the ability to get off blocks. Hartshorn finished with 27 tackles as a junior and plays with the kind of toughness and effort that you want from an interior DL. Kimball finished with 64 stops and plays with a good nose for the football, giving the Blue Devils an active presence in the middle of their defense. He isn't limited to that side of the ball either, with the athleticism to contribute as a runner and pass catcher when his number is called on offense. Kimball has already taken on an important role in this program, and he should be one of the players St. Marys leans on throughout the 2026 season.

Pierce has already shown he can make plays with the ball in his hands, while his work in the secondary adds to his value as a two-way player. Pierce also brings a 6'1 185 frame that gives him plenty of room to continue developing physically as he gets older.
2027 Wahama OL/DL [player_tooltip player_id='1615273' first='Ian' last='Fowler'] is a multi-year starter up front and gives the White Falcons a much-needed experienced player in the trenches heading into his senior season. His versatility as a two-way lineman and someone capable of lining up at multiple spots along the lines has been valuable for Wahama, especially for a team replacing several linemen from last year's group. Fowler should be one of the veteran leaders up front and a key returning piece as the White Falcons make another push toward the Class A title.

Wahama has one of the most dangerous playmakers in Class A in 2027 RB/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1155323' first='Reezin' last='Stitt'] to utilize again this year. Stitt was nearly unstoppable when healthy last season, rushing for 1,400 yards and 26 touchdowns in just eight games while showing the speed and quickness to turn any touch into an explosive play. He is a true three-phase player who can impact the game on offense, defense and special teams, and has the "it" factor at every position he lines up in. If Stitt can stay on the field, expect him to be a major factor in Wahama's championship chase and one of the toughest players in Class A to defend.

A new opportunity at Wahama could make 2027 RB/LB [player_tooltip player_id='864956' first='Jairus' last='Robinson'] one of the more interesting players to watch for the White Falcons this season. Robinson spent his first three years at Point Pleasant and now joins a program that has an opening at linebacker after losing some key pieces from last year's defense. His 5'9 190 frame gives him the build to be a physical presence at linebacker, while his ability to contribute at running back adds another layer to the team. Robinson has a chance to make an immediate impact in a new program and could emerge as a standout for Wahama in their championship push.

Wirt County is coming off an 8-4 season that finally delivered the program's first playoff win since 2010, beating St. Marys 27-14 just one week after losing to the Blue Devils by 33 points. That turnaround gave the Tigers plenty of momentum heading into 2026, but they'll have to replace several established starters as they build on their recent success. Sophomore QB Luke Hickman takes over for longtime starter Tyler Smith, while sophomore WR [player_tooltip player_id='1971735' first='Andrew' last='Lemley'] and junior RB [player_tooltip player_id='2149433' first='Adryon' last='Hartford'] give the offense two proven young playmakers to build around. Senior RB/LB Peyton Dye will provide veteran leadership on both sides of the ball after a productive junior season, and with Jason Hickman entering his 17th season leading the program, Wirt County has a chance to make a fourth straight playoff appearance.

Wirt County has a tough, physical runner to lean on in 2028 RB/LB [player_tooltip player_id='2149433' first='Adryon' last='Hartford']. Hartford ran for nearly 900 yards and 8 touchdowns as a junior while sharing carries, showing the ability to consistently move the chains with a downhill style. He runs hard through contact, keeps his legs moving, and rarely goes down on first contact. With more opportunities coming his way, Hartford has the chance to have a big junior season for the Tigers as they transition in a new QB.

It didn't take long for 2029 Wirt County WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1971735' first='Andrew' last='Lemley'] to become one of the Tigers' top players. Lemley led the team in receiving as a freshman with more than 700 yards and 11 touchdowns while also making 81 tackles and picking off three passes defensively. He brings the athleticism and playmaking ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball, giving Wirt County a talented and young two-way standout to build around. With three more seasons ahead of him, Lemley has plenty of time to develop into one of the more exciting players in Class A.
