Uncommitted: Class of 2027 ATHs in KY to Watch This Fall

Herbst is aggressive on the defensive side of the ball despite his status as a QB. He's not afraid to lower his shoulder and lay someone out, and he does a great job at locating the football. In pass coverage, Herbst does a good job of watching the quarterback's eyes, setting his hips, and angling himself in pursuit to make a play. He shows similar athleticism under center, where he's a dual-threat option for the Indians. He's most effective in play action, where he sells the fake as well as anyone in his class, and he's accurate on the run. Butler is an athletic, dual-threat option under center who possesses the speed and length to jet past defenders quickly. Butler finished this past season with 1,096 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games. He also plays safety on defense, where he is reliable in contested catch situations and is hard to blow past as the last line of defense. Naturally, his size allows him to excel at both track &amp; field as well as basketball. Green is agile and light on his feet, who provides a quick first step out of his stance before jetting into his hole and through the defense. He runs north and south, but is at his most dynamic when he bounces to the outside and runs along the sideline. Defensively, Green is a ballhawk who caught four interceptions en route to Owensboro's state title one year ago. Just like he does on offense, Green is a playmaker downhill from the safety position and is a sure tackler in the secondary. Woolum has a knack for finding the end zone, rushing for 20 touchdowns as a junior to go along with 1,066 on 82 attempts -- good for 13.0 yards per attempt. He scored an additional six touchdowns receiving, catching 24 passes for 520 yards. Defensively, he has a similarly great nose for the football, catching four interceptions (T-3, 2A) as a defensive back to go along with 50 tackles. He also returns kickoffs and punts for Belfry. If Woolum has offers (which he should), he doesn't post about them. However, he can play any offensive skill position on the field. Johnson finished this past season with 2,512 total yards and 31 combined touchdowns, including over 1,000 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns. Johnson has a strong lower body, which helps him break tackles around his legs. He gets downhill on a moment's notice, and once he finds open field, Johnson can really showcase his speed.
