These 2029 Wide Receivers Could Bring in Some D1 Offers Soon

The <a href="https://prepredzone.com/virginia/rankings/2029-watch-list/" id="https://prepredzone.com/virginia/rankings/2029-watch-list/">2029 class </a>is full of exceptional athletes at wide receiver, and quite a few of them could begin to rake in some FCS/FBS-level offers with big sophomore seasons in 2026.   Here are seven players to watch out for this year:    [player_tooltip player_id='1694550' first='Zion' last='Goode'] is a long, fundamentally sound receiver who has the potential to absolutely explode in 2026. His long strides and track-like speed allows him to consistently gain separation and stack defensive backs on deep routes, and he's twitched up enough to be effective in the short to intermediate levels of the field as well.   Goode is our top-ranked wide receiver for the 2029 cycle, and he'll be a playmaker to watch for Roanoke Catholic this season.     [player_tooltip player_id='1589005' first='Clinton' last='Ferris Jr'] is another receiver in the 2029 class that already has a great feel for the position. He pays attention to the details, displaying good head fakes when coming out of his breaks and knows how to get open for his quarterback in vacated pockets of the field.   He's one of those receivers who's consistently running around wide open downfield, and he's only going to get better over the next few seasons.     [player_tooltip player_id='1719560' first='Elijah' last='Nickens'] has been an impressive player on both sides of the ball for Osbourn, but his best position is probably wide receiver when it comes to collegiate recruiting. He has an excellent motor and runs all of his routes at the same speed, consistently being able to get separation early on in each rep.   He has an insane level of short-area quickness and agility, making it extremely hard for defensive backs to stay with him unless they press him at the line of scrimmage.     [player_tooltip player_id='1743636' first='Andrew' last='Rogers'] has excellent size and is a prototypical possession receiver right now. He has top-notch hands, enough wiggle to separate in the quick-game, and knows how to shield defenders away from the football at the catch point.   He has a fairly high floor when it comes to the recruiting process, and he's the type of receiver who college coaches flock to.     [player_tooltip player_id='1350391' first='Elijah' last='White'] is a playmaker who wins with footspeed and explosion downfield. He's a refined route-runner as well, which is pretty rare for a player so young.   He also does a good job of catching the football away from his frame, and very few freshman receivers in 2025 were as exciting as White after the catch. He's going to be a fun player to keep track of over the next few years.     [player_tooltip player_id='1583154' first='Jameer' last='Ross'] is the type of player that every college coach wants to have in their program. He's an exceptional athlete, can play multiple positions on both sides of the ball, and consistently stands out on tape wherever he lines up.   Though he flashed as a ball-carrier at times as a freshman, wide receiver is likely where he'll play at the next level. He profiles best as a slot receiver who could be dangerous on two-way go's, and is incredibly dangerous with the ball in his hands.     [player_tooltip player_id='1700397' first='Jamari' last='Fleming'] is another great athlete at wide receiver who also runs track for AHS. He doesn't have much tape on the football field yet, but he should be a very good pass-catcher in 2026.   I've heard some good things about him, and he's definitely going to be a player to watch as a sophomore this year.
