Clinton is an athletic, lengthy wide receiver who transferred to Woodberry Forest this fall. He is a fluid runner with speed; he ran a verified 4.83 at our Prep Redzone VA combine this past summer. He has good footwork and can create separation in his routes. As our 2nd-Ranked receiver in this class, I do believe he is the biggest big-play threat at WR in this class. Expect him to be a big playmaker over his high school career.

Clinton “Chance” Ferris Jr Clinton “Chance” Ferris Jr 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Woodberry Forest | 2030 State VA is another receiver in the 2029 class that already has a great feel for the position. He pays attention to the details, displaying good head fakes when coming out of his breaks and knows how to get open for his quarterback in vacated pockets of the field.

He’s one of those receivers who’s consistently running around wide open downfield, and he’s only going to get better over the next few seasons.

Madison County has had a baller for a couple years now in Clinton Ferris Jr, time for the rest of the state to know about this dude. Perhaps the best route runner in this class, Ferris is so good off the snap and his stride is deceptive making defenders look foolish trying to cover him. He is the type of player teams are going need to game plan against for years to come, you cannot cover him 1 on 1.

Ferris has several highlights that show him going vertical, including a few where he wins a 50/50 ball. I think he does a nice job of adjusting to the ball when it’s in the air.
