Prep Redzone NY Exposure Series: RB First Impressions

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I was a bit bullish on the running back group coming into the weekend, but they ended up really impressing me. Everyone in the group was super athletic, everyone made plays. The weather was not ideal for planting and cutting-but they all managed to still look shifty, and they made a few nice catches in one on ones as well. He's one of those guys that you have to really nitpick to find something you don't like. Fry had both the best 40 time of the day and topped the camp in MPH reached on the 40 yard dash. He's got suddenness and shiftiness that's impressive at 6'0. He looks like a grown man already. Flashed in the receiving game, made a few good catches. Would love to see some more wiggle in his hips. I was proven wrong upon watching him. He was the 2nd best back of the day in my opinion. He's got an athletic build, and he's got really good footwork. Really quick feet. The one thing that really stood out to me was his ability to eat up space. He just flew up the field. Longer arms, big legs. Chest looks built. Would love to see him get a bit more wiggle in his game. Had some good reps in the receiving game. Something that stood out to me was he was consistently the first runningback to participate in a drill, and walked through them with the coach a lot despite him being very young. When watching him in individual drills I felt like he may need to put on more muscle, but then when watching him in one on ones he was much shiftier than I had previously thought. I think he can be a shifty back that can hit the sideline and run past guy or add some more muscle and be a bit of a bowling ball. He's got the size/twitch for either one. Had some really good catches in some pretty bad weather. Looked crisp running routes. He has some really good size, about the same as Nazarian. He left linebackers in the dust a few times, and showed some really good hands in some really bad weather. He's an impressive athlete with an athletic build lending more to a shifty/twitched up type of back.
