About Elijah
Expert Analysis
Cory Lemer | Prep Redzone Scout
Epps was one of the impressive ball carriers in attendance, and one of the veterans of the impressive and bigger than expected RB group. Epps was one of the quickest players in attendance finishing with a 4.84 40-Time in wet conditions which ranked 4th.
Epps shows the ability to play on both sides of the ball, and I like his frame, standing at 5’11” 195-Pounds. He was excellent in reps, and showed quick footwork, and the ability to move around with ease. In 1v1 reps, he was a threat, making sharp cuts, and showcasing good routes, to rack in catches showing his ability as a pass catcher as well. Epps was a very impressive playmaker in Warwick.

stood out with his combination of speed, agility, and competitive running style throughout Saturday’s event. Explosive out of his stance, Epps consistently showcased the ability to decelerate and accelerate quickly, a true sign of agility and body control. His quick twitch movements frequently caught linebackers off guard in the open field, making them whiff in open space. With a taller frame and determined running style, Elijah ran with purpose on every rep, making him one of the more intriguing offensive playmakers at Saturday’s event.

Epps was another back who really shined during one on ones. He left linebackers in the dust a few times, and showed some really good hands in some really bad weather. He’s an impressive athlete with an athletic build lending more to a shifty/twitched up type of back. Excited to see the heights he can reach in his senior year.

Standing at 5’10” 175-Pounds, the Beacon prospect displays a good build for an athlete. He mainly shares reps at the RB position, but can play across the field.
Epps is an outstanding returner who displays excellent elusiveness and an outstanding burst of speed in space. Epps is a Swiss army knife out of the backfield and can be used as pass catcher and a back. As an RB, he reaches his top speed quickly and can find gaps with ease.
Epps is an outstanding athlete for the Beacon roster, who has true star potential. He is a player circled on scouting reports a team should fear.

out of Beacon is a very intriguing athlete. I was able to find tape on him in this class—he showed great quickness and twitchy movements on tape. I am a big fan of his overall movement skills. He flashes some long speed and has the positional versatility to play either WR/RB or DB while also having a strong impact on the return game.
Epps will need to add more play strength and continue to get bigger, but 5’10 “175” is a good spot for a Sophomore.
