As we exit winter and head into spring, it's almost time for official visits.

In the recent recruiting calendar, we have seen the majority of elite prospects come off the board by the July 4th week.

So the next few months are absolutely crucial for exposure, interest and offers from college football programs - from the top on down.

This list takes a look at Oregon and Washington prospects who Prep Redzone feels are under-offered for their ability level.

Not all of the athletes on this list are sure-thing Division I guys in our eyes. But all of them are included because we feel they deserve more offers than they currently have, and in some cases we believe they are about to see their recruitment rise significantly.

Earlier in the week we released our "All-Under-Offered Northwest Offense.”

Here's a look at our "All-Under-Offered Northwest Defense":

DL [player_tooltip player_id='1659062' first='Parker' last='Stewart'], Kelso (2027)

DL: [player_tooltip player_id='936855' first='Nate' last='Peau'], Central Catholic (2027)

DL: [player_tooltip player_id='1684534' first='Jettson' last='Gillam'], Mountain View (2027)

DL: [player_tooltip player_id='1654734' first='PJ' last='Tautu'], Central Catholic (2028)

DL: [player_tooltip player_id='2106040' first='Leofatu' last='Filipe'], Thurston (2028)

DL: [player_tooltip player_id='985358' first='Cale' last='LaFountaine'], Ortling (2028)

Kelso's [player_tooltip player_id='1659062' first='Parker' last='Stewart'], the younger brother of Michigan State-to-Colorado State offensive lineman Payton Stewart, is a 6-foot-4, 225-pound two-way standout who earned first-team all-GSHL during a breakout junior campaign.

His recruitment may not reach the lofty Big Ten heights of his brother's, but Stewart deserves a lot more attention than he is currently getting.

The breakout is here, and he should be generating some buzz at the lower levels, at least.

Central Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='936855' first='Nate' last='Peau'] was one of the best two-way linemen in the state of Oregon last fall.

He's a 6-foot-3, 310-pound interior lineman who earned first-team all-league and second-team all-state honors.

Peau is sure to generate some small school offers based on his combination of production, size and character.

His first offer should be incoming.

Mountain View's [player_tooltip player_id='1684534' first='Jettson' last='Gillam'] is a 6-foot-4, 235-pound two-way athlete who made our second-team all-Northwest squad.

While he could be projected to tight end just as easily, there's also some significant upside as an edge.

At the time of this team first being put together, Gillam was looking for his first offer, but he has since added a scholarship offer from FCS power Eastern Washington.

It was a the big statement start to his recruitment that we were hoping for… and expecting.

Central Catholic defensive lineman P.J. Tautu showed up to a camp this spring and immediately drew significant praise.

"You know he's the best player here, right?" said a coach who was watching the defensive line prospects closely.

My response?

"Yes," I said. "Did you know he's only a 2028?"

The response was a stunned expletive.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive lineman still has plenty of refinement to do, but he's the No. 1 player in Oregon for his class and holds offers from Oregon State, Portland State, San Diego State and others.

But he should be generating more attention.

Tautu has a chance to be very special.

Thurston's [player_tooltip player_id='2106040' first='Leofatu' last='Filipe'] is a 6-foot-5, 230-pound two-way standout who plays both edge and tight end.

Sound familiar?

Filipe collected 64 tackles, 17 tackles-for-loss and six sacks last fall.

A breakout season is on the horizon and he's projected as a top-10 player in the state of Oregon in 2028.

Ortling's Cale LaFontaine is a small school star with Division I size at 6-foot-5, 320 pounds, and has flashed upside - he was OL MVP at a camp in Idaho last year.

It's starting to come together and that could lead to a big jump in his recruitment.

LB: [player_tooltip player_id='937338' first='Cash' last='Wilks'], Lake Oswego (2027)

LB: [player_tooltip player_id='1807588' first='Kyran' last='Sessoms'], Lakes (2028)

LB: [player_tooltip player_id='1188110' first='Michael' last='Pulalasi'], Puyallup (2027)

LB: [player_tooltip player_id='1878396' first='Aidan' last='Galusha'], Dallas (2027)

LB: [player_tooltip player_id='1609758' first='Jake' last='Hamper'], West Linn (2028)

Lake Oswego's [player_tooltip player_id='937338' first='Cash' last='Wilks'] didn't make our midseason all-state team, and that was a massive mistake.

He was one of the state's best linebackers last fall.

Wilks led the state-champion Lakers in tackles (79) and was a first-team all-league and all-state selection.

At 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, he has good size to go along with his production.

Wilks has an offer from Portland State, but should be generating a few more offers before his recruitment comes to a close.

Lakes [player_tooltip player_id='1807588' first='Kyran' last='Sessoms'] could make this list at either linebacker or wide receiver.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound athlete had a breakout sophomore season, registering 29 tackles, 10 tackles-for-loss and five sacks.

He needs to continue to grow and add weight to rise up the rankings as a defender, but the early flashes are really encouraging.

Puyallup's [player_tooltip player_id='1188110' first='Michael' last='Pulalasi'] was perhaps the best defender in the entire Northwest last fall.

He was simply dominant.

At 6-foot, 218 pounds, Pulalasi isn't the biggest ‘backer, which is why some teams have been hesitant to offer him.

But at Prep Redzone, we're believers.

He holds scholarships from Idaho, New Mexico and Utah State, but feels like a “must-offer guy” by the Pac-12 programs.

Pulalasi is a monster and college football programs need to get in line.

Dallas linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1878396' first='Aidan' last='Galusha'] was MVP of two camps this winter and clocked 40 times in the 4.4/4.5 range at both events.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound conference defensive lineman of the year racked up 76 tackles, 9 tackles-for-loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles and two blocked kicks.

He was a game-wrecker.

West Linn linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1609758' first='Jake' last='Hamper'] has next for the a Lions defense that has churned out college-level defensive stars for the past several years.

He's a big-time playmaker waiting to happen, and now that his path is cleared he should take on a leadership role.

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='935357' first='Josiah' last='Hawkins'], Cascade (2027)

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='1397322' first='Marquis' last='Tovia'], Chief Sealth (2029)

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='986705' first='Dreson' last='Jimerson'], Bellevue (2028)

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='1125042' first='Barry' last='Myles'], Sheldon (2027)

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='1530872' first='Jordan' last='Noel'], Kennedy Catholic (2027)

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='2042043' first='Kason' last='Carta'], Bellevue (2027)

Cascade's [player_tooltip player_id='935357' first='Josiah' last='Hawkins'] is a small school superstar.

He was first-team all-state on both sides of the ball and had 12 touchdowns on offense with five interceptions defensively.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound standout deserves some offers to choose from, and they should come his way.

Chief Sealth [player_tooltip player_id='1397322' first='Marquis' last='Tovia'] is a rare 2029 on this list.

Prep Redzone wants to be in front of the upcoming surge of activity for Tovia.

The 6-foot-3 defensive back is going to be a hot commodity before his career is over.

Bellevue [player_tooltip player_id='986705' first='Dreson' last='Jimerson'] isn't the biggest prospect at 5-foot-7, 159 pounds, but he clocked a 4.39 40 and is a dynamic athlete in space.

He came in two inches and 16 pounds less than listed measurements, which is an issue that will limit his ceiling.

But there's no questioning Agent 0 as an impact player.

He has an offer from Montana State.

Sheldon's [player_tooltip player_id='1125042' first='Barry' last='Myles'] is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound defensive back with very solid production, earning second-team all-state honors.

Last season, he had 52 receptions for 718 yards and 9 touchdowns with 21 tackles, three interceptions and 9 pass break-ups with just three catches allowed.

Myles deserves more love.

Kennedy Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='1530872' first='Jordan' last='Noel'] had offers from Portland State and Sacramento State, but it felt, to us, like he deserved more.

That came since the rough draft of this list was written, as he added a big offer from Oregon State.

Still, the entire Pac-12 should be watching closely.

Last season, he hauled in 20 receptions for 644 yards and nine touchdowns with 45 tackles on defense.

That was good for first-team all-league defensive back and second-team all-league wide receiver.

Bellevue's [player_tooltip player_id='2042043' first='Kason' last='Carta'] is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound defensive back who recently broke a 51-year-old school record in the 110-meter hurdles.

He's an elite track athlete and that speed translates to the football field at a good size.

We think he should be generating a little more football love - even if he is a monster track

As we exit winter and head into spring, it's almost time for official visits.
