The 5'11"/180 running back, now at Rancho Bernardo, rushed for over 1,100 yards and 6 TDs on 183 carries as a sophomore. He's a quick, shifty runner with the ball in his hands that can find running room around the LOS with excellent field vision and patience behind his blockers. Impressive lateral agility helps him cut to space and elude tacklers, can catch out of the backfield, and shows his burst/acceleration at the second level. Shows his toughness making catches in tight areas over the middle of the field and shows some developing technique and creativity in his routes. Shows his coverage skills and instincts reading QB eyes and undercutting passes over the middle of the field, can blow up blocks and stick ball-carriers at the LOS, and is a violent finisher as a tackler. Totaled 45 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 8.5 TFLs last season. He's an athletic front-seven defender that can disrupt the backfield as an edge rusher and make rangy tackles as an off-ball LB. He excels as a downhill tackler in the run game where he can use his speed and quickness to beat blockers to the spot when playing off the ball. He uses violent hands to shed and has the range to cut off stretch plays to the perimeter. He's a rangy FS on defense that can create turnovers in deep coverage and is a strong tackler in space. On offense, he's a skilled playmaker that turn in explosive plays with the ball in his hands and shows exceptional hands and ball skills completing tough catches in tight coverage.
