Farrell is one of the top returning rushers across the San Diego section and is a explosive and top end speed guy that can make big plays from anywhere on the field. He shows a strong burst through the LOS, start/stop abilities in the hole and can make tacklers miss in tight windows. He can also hit a third level gear in the clear and force poor angles while flashing good vision in space with cutback abilities and does a nice job setting up his blockers in the hole and staying patient before bursting into the open field. He is a natural pass catcher out of the backfield and smooth after the catch while able to make plays from the backfield or in the slot as well and should be atop the sections rushing ranks by the time the season comes to a close.

Farrell ran for 1194 yards with six touchdowns and had a 60-yard touchdown catch for La Jolla last season and has since transferred to Rancho Bernardo.

He navigates the first two levels well and is a one-cut-and-go type of guy who doesn’t waste steps laterally. Farrell’s ability to break tackles stands out on film and he has nice burst when he gets into the open field. He is still seeking his first offer but he had a nice showing at the San Diego State Mega Camp.
