Which prospects have made a splash in early-season combines?

The 2026 camp and combine season is underway. Prospects under the radar and on the rise begin to raise their stock along with some eyebrows. Below are some that made an early pop.    Holcomb, now planning to attend Brother Rice, is checking in at 6010 182 currently and showing nice early physical characteristics. For his age, he is very well developed from a mechanics standpoint, far past his years, and is showing great quarterback maturity. Motion is tight, release is quick, ball has spin. Holcomb is showing the ability to deliver with velocity and touch along with the ability to place the football. Expect Holcomb to continue to impress in the combine setting, and could very well be the best signal caller in his class when ink meets the paper.     Ashiru has been observed live multiple times now, and everytime he displays a high end ability to separate. Checking in at 5097 154, Ashiru is built for the slot, not only physically, but also athletically. This prospect is laterally quick with sharp change of direction. He can create mismatch issues over the middle and problems over the top with his long speed. Look for Ashiru at 7v7 events, this playmaker won't be hard to single out. He is incredibly tough to cover one on one.     We don't have verified measurables on Cash yet, but 6010 175 seems to be fairly accurate. This DB is lean and long. He has the physical traits to attract eyeballs from the highest levels. Between the white lines, Coleman is highly competitive. He performs well in the one on one scenario and will likely find himself battling in the call outs at the end of most camps and combines he attends. In live action during the fall, Sims flashed the ability to high point a football and adjust his body for the tough catch. In offseason action so far, Sims displays the ability to be explosive off the line, run sharp routes, create separation from the coverage, and good hands. Other MC receivers have gotten more attention, but Sims will garner his fair share of eyeballs heading into the season.     [player_tooltip player_id='1682047' first='Anthony' last='Carter'] is a young developing DB with a great frame at his age. Currently checking in at 6001 178, Carter has lots of room for growth. The way he plays is physical in nature, and is able to make lots of plays on the ball using his length. Great effort and high levels of competitiveness show up in the one on one scenario. Carter looks like a secondary prospect with position versatility that could project at corner or safety based on program specific defensive scheme or need.
