Malachi stepped up for the 5A state champions in some important games when the Chargers needed a running back to balance their powerful offense. I really like watching Malachi follow pulling blockers on power plays and getting downhill in the running game. He’s a north/south runner who doesn’t waste motion and gains maximum yardage on his runs. He brings some impressive power in his game as well, with the ability to run through weak tackle attempts at the 2nd and 3rd levels of the defense. I think he’s got the potential to be a bell-cow kind of back for sure.
