Expert Analysis
Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
Collard made the transfer over to Rocky Mountain for his senior year coming up from Highland, and is a very twitchy and fluid edge rusher that can lineup anywhere across the front line and is active at the POA. He snaps out of his stance, wins with speed and twitch at the POA and quickly collapses the pocket and creates havoc behind the line. Collard flashes a quick use of hands, proper shoulder turn and bend around the corner and has closing speed and change of direction in the open field. He moves smooth for his size and can tackle in space, set the edge with inside hand leverage and is very technically sound. Checking into our rankings as a top fifteen player, he should have a monster Senior season.

Collard is one of the top defensive end prospects in Idaho, and can play a variety of different position along the defensive front. He has tremendous strength and initial knock back at the POA, shows hand violence to control the breastplate of blockers and a violent shed while able to shut down half the line of scrimmage himself. He shows good extension, quick block recognition when denting pullers and can bend around the corner quickly with closing speed and backside pursuit while flashing a few power rush moves in his tool box. Collard had a very impressive and productive junior season for highland and should be atop the TFL/sack leaderboards during the 2026 season.
