Wilson Hunt comes back to take down Croatan 32-29

Croatan had one last shot to force overtime, driving into field-goal range and setting up a relatively short attempt as the clock expired. When the game hung in the balance late, Harris delivered the dagger: an absolute dime to cap the comeback and seal the win. He's an elite athlete regardless of position, and he showcased the full scope of his talent all night long. The sophomore RB has been stacking 100-plus yard performances week after week, and he did it again in a way that almost snuck up on you. Even in a game where it didn't feel like he carried the load that heavily, Jones quietly racked up 20 carries for 162 yards and a touchdown. His consistency, vision, and ability to rip off chunk gains are turning him into one of the most reliable young backs in the region — and his ceiling keeps climbing. The senior scored both touchdowns — including the game-winning grab in the final minutes — and was absolute lockdown on defense. He racked up multiple pass breakups, erased his side of the field, and made every big play when the moment demanded it. A true closer on both offense and defense.     Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1106602' first='Judah' last='Harris'] was the Defensive Player of the Game, turning in one of the most dominant performances of the night. He piled up 18 total tackles and a staggering 4 sacks, flying around the field and impacting every level of the defense. Harris was everywhere — disruptive, physical, and impossible to ignore.     Trevorus Cooper, the freshman LB, continues to prove why he's already regarded as one of the top 2029 linebackers in the state. He finished the night with 3 tackles for loss and 7 total tackles, showcasing his great motor, toughness, and natural instincts. Cooper plays fast, reacts even faster, and brings a physical edge well beyond his age. The future is extremely bright for this young defender.     Kannon McBride, the junior QB, was responsible for all 29 of Croatan's points, turning in a tremendous all-around performance. Not only did he account for multiple touchdowns under center, but he also handled kicking duties — drilling two field goals to keep his team in striking distance. McBride's versatility, poise, and production were on full display, proving once again that he's the engine of this Croatan offense. He was a threat every time he touched the ball — in the backfield, out wide, and especially on special teams. His burst is sneaky fast, catching defenders off guard with how quickly he hits top speed. Boucher caught every pass thrown his way and constantly flipped field position with his playmaking. A true spark plug for Croatan's offense.
