Cunningham popped on my radar just weeks before the 2028 rankings update, and he flashed enough on tape for me to consider him a top 50 player in the state. He is a long, lean, crisp player who can work each level of the field. He is a long strider who deceives DBs well. I am impressed with his focus and body control when playing the ball. He is a smooth , high-floor player who should break out this fall.

Cunningham is a new name to me who recently jumped on my radar and is set for a breakout as a junior. He is a lean, long-strided athlete at 6’1 170 who is quick off the line and quickly sets up defenders. He is a threatening player over the top, which naturally opens up opportunities underneath. He is a smooth athlete who checks a lot of boxes without many glaring weaknesses. I imagine Cunningham will develop into a mainstay on the D1 recruiting scene over the next year.

“Cunningham is quick, has impressive speed, and can attack and find success at multiple levels of the field. He’s great at gaining separation off his routes, and can make some explosive plays after the catch as well. I’m really impressed with how he uses his speed and acceleration to his advantage; it’s rare for any defender to catch up to him in the open field.
Cunningham adds a ton of value to special teams with his return work. He has a good blend of vision and speed that he uses to find lanes and explode upfield to get his team in great starting field position.“
