The first stat line I go out on Easton’s tape against Millard South is his quarterback pressures, which his number against rival Millard South was seven. This young man is not only eruptive as a pass-rusher, but man do I am I impressed with how much of a motor Easton has as you can look at the score line on this game all you want, but this is a kid that just kept playing as one that wanted to keep battling. He shows the generation of balance with his hands while getting off blocks, as you see a sound mix of power and agility with his hands with 6’3 225 pound frame. The elusiveness with his hands I thought also got better and better the more I got into his tape, as I feel he should focus more on that agility the more I watch his tape. One of the sack leaders in Class A as just a junior that feels like an early offer target from this 2028 class.

is another player gearing up for a big year in the trenches. Easton gave the Wildcat faithful a lot to look forward to this fall after tallying 17 tackles, seven TFLs, and a team-leading four sacks despite only playing in six games. When watching Easton’s tape, my biggest takeaway was that his motor is always running red-hot as he was constantly working his hands and pumping his legs. Loftin has a well-rounded skill set that makes him effective as both a pass rusher and a run defender. When pressuring the QB, he displays a solid get-off with good bend around the edge and can really use his length to extend to make strong initial contact when jabbing at blockers. When he keys in on the run, Easton’s strong base allows him to anchor down, set the edge, and force runs back inside. Solid closing speed and the already-mentioned tireless motor allow him to get to the ball carrier or QB and make splash plays at/behind the line of scrimmage. He has been hard at work this offseason, so we should expect to see a fired-up, bigger, stronger Easton this fall!
