Class 1A's leader in interceptions with six, [player_tooltip player_id='1657093' first='Drew' last='Greve'] has been an integral part of Regina's sustained success throughout this season. He isn't one of the big names folks think of on the Regals, but the 6-foot, 165-pound defensive back and receiver has been uber-important in their ten-straight wins.

Offensively, Greve is second on the team in receptions to tight end, [player_tooltip player_id='466364' first='Tate' last='Wallace'], hauling in 20 catches for 353 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Greve's size likely won't get him to the D1 level, but his ball skills and knack to come down with turnovers will be something lower level programs heavily value when deciding who to offer scholarships.

Greve will be one of several players I'll have my eye on come Friday when the Regals take on standout QB/DB, [player_tooltip player_id='1197483' first='Braylon' last='Bingham'] and Pleasantville at home.

The bell cow back for the reigning state champions in 2A who moved down a class this season, [player_tooltip player_id='1221929' first='Evan' last='Hildring'] will, once again, be heavily relied on by West Lyon if they want to win another state title in a few weeks.

So far this year, the senior running back has taken 119 carries for 1,143 yards and 20 scores. His 20 touchdowns leads all of Class 1A, and 9.6 yards per carry is fourth in the class. To go along with his offensive numbers, the Northwestern College commit has posted 22 tackles, four tackles-for-loss (TFLs), a fumble recovery and a pick on defense.

One of Five Surprise Standouts in 1A this season, [player_tooltip player_id='1940996' first='Ethan' last='Hill'] seemingly came out of nowhere for Treynor at the quarterback position this fall. Ranking in the top five in total touchdowns (30), passing touchdowns (22) and passer rating (182.6) in Class 1A, Hill has gone from a relatively unknown prospect that helped out his team, to one of the top quarterbacks in the state.

In addition to leading Treynor to a 9-1 season, Hill has completed 123-of-179 passes (68.7%) for 1,634 yards, the aforementioned 22 touchdowns and just three picks. On the ground, he's taken 59 carries for 257 yards and eight scores.

Taking on one-loss South Hardin led by [player_tooltip player_id='1844227' first='Peyton' last='Welch'] and Sam Benson, the Cardinals are in for a real test on Friday.

The lone sophomore on this list, [player_tooltip player_id='1601659' first='Jude' last='Kramer'] has stepped up in a big way this year for Beckman Catholic, and probably earned himself a spot on the Surprise Standouts list, too.

Going from just three carries for 20 yards and a score as a freshman for the Trailblazers, Kramer led BC in rushing this season, taking 81 carries for 803 yards (9.9 yards per carry) and 15 touchdowns. Senior tail back Mack Wolfe took the majority of the carries (110) and scored 17 touchdowns, but Kramer was just as, if not more important for the Trailblazer offense in his second year of high school football. He's currently second on the team in receptions, too, grabbing 15 passes for 164 yards and two scores.

Defensively, the second-year star has registered 20 tackles and been a menace to opposing ball-carriers, registering 11.5 TFLs and a team-leading 8.5 sacks. He also returned a pick-six 26 yards for a score.

An Iowa baseball commit, [player_tooltip player_id='1221934' first='Garrett' last='Luett'] has put his pitching arm to work for Underwood this season. The senior and seventh-ranked QB in the class of 2026, Luett ranks in the top five in 1A in completions (147), passing attempts (243), passing yards (2,222), passing touchdowns (25), offensive yards (2,877) and offensive touchdowns (36).

A quarterback through-and-through, Luett only plays one side of the ball for the Eagles, but with numbers like that, he and his arm have earned the right to lead his team solely from the offensive side of the ball.

With a near three-hour drive from Underwood to West Lyon, Luett will have plenty of time to let his arm rest on the bus ride -- the Eagles will need all they can get from him on Friday if they're going to return to the UNI-Dome for the state semifinals.
