It all starts and stops with the quarterback, and [player_tooltip player_id='119260' first='Jaxson' last='Dosh'] continues to show why he is such a highly touted kid. What stood out on Friday night was composure and leadership. Things weren't going their way, but Dosh remained poised and kept his teammates in it. Physically, he still checks every box. Live arm, good mobility and solid decision making. While some of his mistakes came from trying to make something happen for his team when things weren't going well, it's hard to fault him for wanting to take over. Western Michigan is getting a guy that is not only physically gifted, but a natural leader as well.

It is clear that Ben is operating at an entirely different level than everyone else. His size, strength and physicality stand out, but pair that with his great technique and football IQ and you get a guy that's one of the most highly touted prospects in Notre Dame's recruiting class. Multiple times I watched him get under the pads of the defensive lineman and take him wherever he wanted. In pass protection, he has quick feet, good balance and the ability to counter both power and speed rushing moves. His ceiling is as high as any offensive lineman I've gotten to cover in person.

One of my favorite two-way players in the state! Cortez continues to prove why I'm so high on him every time I see him play. He has an extremely high ceiling at the DB position as he's great in man coverage, showing fluid hips, good burst and the ability to stick with receivers. Offensively he has been a real weapon for Davison, hauling in some big catches when targeted. He's a high-motor guy that can play both ways effectively, which I love. I will keep vouching for Cortez any chance I get, he is the real deal.

TyAnthony might be one of the most fun backs I have covered this season. He adds a nice element to the Davison offense with his ability to catch out of the backfield and turn some short passes into big chunk plays. He came up with a couple of touchdown catches and provided a bit of a spark for his team. Between the tackles, he's a nice mix of speed, balance and power, fighting through first contact and falling forward for extra yardage. This game solidified what I had thought about him- a dual threat back that brings tremendous versatility.

What a great compliment to [player_tooltip player_id='212356' first='Ben' last='Nichols'] at the other tackle spot. Cole was really solid all night. I scouted him last season and noted his athleticism and ability to get out to the 2nd level and execute some difficult blocks in space. On Friday, we saw more of the same, but with some added power and physicality at the point of attack. Cole is a versatile lineman who anchors his side of the line and brings some balance to the offensive line. Love his steady presence
