After a strong sophomore season where he rushed for 1,200 yards, Maxwell is off to a fast start to his all-important junior season, and he's proving that he can absolutely play at the next level. The 5-foot-9 175-pounds has rushed for 268 yards through his first three games of the season. He's also been. major weapon in the passing game out of the backfield and in the return game on special teams. He's one of the fastest backs in the area who can break a long any time he has the ball. He shows good burst, patience, and a slippery running style. Look for Maxwell to push for All-Region honors at the end off the season.

A speedy, electric South Georgia running back on the rise, Woods is a speedy back who runs behind his pads and can pick up yards after initial contact. He ran for 176 yards in a week one win, ran for 81 yards and a touchdown in week two, and ran wild against Central Gwinnett in week three for 157 yards and three touchdowns. He's one of the top 2027 backs in the area and has enough speed and big-play ability to earn some possible Power Four offers down the road. He'll be added to the next rankings update and is in store for a giant junior season this fall.

A breakout junior running back to know in Gwinnett County, Mullins is a new name to know after a career game against West Forsyth in the second game of the season. The big, bruising back runs hard and breaks a lot of tackles at 6-foot-0 200-pounds. After a strong week one where he ran for a respectable 53 yards, Mullins took over against the Wolverines, rushing for 326 yards and three touchdowns in a big 59-45 victory. He's tough to bring down in the open field and is faster than you'd expect for someone his size. He even took off for an 80-yard score in that giant victory over West Forsyth. He's a breakout back to know in the 2027 class who will see a new ranking come his way soon.

A shifty, crafty running back who is dangerous in the open field, Montgomery is a back in West Georgia off to a really strong start to his junior season. The playmaking runner ran for 139 yards and three touchdowns in a week one win over Chattahoochee County before rushing for 51 yards and two touchdowns against Ranburne. In week three he ran for 104 yards in a win over Bethlehem Christian. Look for Montgomery, who has already run for five touchdowns, to be one of the region's leading rushers in the 2027 class. He's one to keep a close eye on moving forward.

An impressive junior running back to know for the mighty Milton Eagles, Atchison Jr is a big-play back who has really shined through the first several weeks of the season. The quick, shifty back runs with authority, balance, and can get tough yards between the tackles. He improved more and more over the first three weeks and dominated during Milton's game against Alpharetta, rushing for 128 yards and one touchdown. He's a promising back who should see more opportunities to carry the ball throughout the season. He has good size, plays hard, and still has his best football ahead of him.
