Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Woods took direct snaps and handoffs all season en route to a prolific all-region season. He is a stout runner with a low center of gravity, helping him stay on his feet through contact. His blend of patience and short-area quickness is what allows him to search for and create yards for himself.

One of the more productive running backs across South Georgia, Woods is a playmaking back who lit up the stat sheet this season as a junior. He’s a slippery, shifty back with speed and the ability to make defenders miss in the open field. He’s fresh off a breakout sophomore season where he ran for 1,313 yards and 15 touchdowns, hitting the 100-yard mark six times. He averaged 6.7 yards per carry and just under 100 yards per game for a Lowndes team that went 10-2 this season. He’s now ranked as the No. 14 RB prospect in the state for the 2027 class.

A speedy, electric South Georgia running back on the rise, Woods is a speedy back who runs behind his pads and can pick up yards after initial contact. He ran for 176 yards in a week one win, ran for 81 yards and a touchdown in week two, and ran wild against Central Gwinnett in week three for 157 yards and three touchdowns. He’s one of the top 2027 backs in the area and has enough speed and big-play ability to earn some possible Power Four offers down the road.
