For those who follow high school football in Oklahoma, it’s easy to see why the Irish have several newcomers in our ranks. They made a run all the way to the 5A state championship game that quite frankly, not a lot of people saw coming. And with a solid core coming back, it will be fun to see how far they can go in 2026. With Akin, he’s a defensive back that we really like moving forward. He’s a hard-hitting athlete that made play after play for the Irish last season. We knew a little bit about him coming into the 2025 season. But after checking him out in person and seeing more film on him, we’re sold that he’s one of the hardest hitting defensive backs in the state’s 2028 class. He checks in at #30 overall.
