PRZPA Team Previews: Kiski Area High School

[player_tooltip player_id='1043549' first='Nick' last='Anderson'] is the enforcer of Kiski Area High School. Anderson is the top OL in the state for then 2028 class, for a multitude of reasons. Anderson is an athletic freak, it shows all over his tape. On the technical side of Andersons film, he plays with his center of gravity low, his feet quick, and his hands timed to A science. In pass pro he's calm and patient paired with strong strikes. On the defensive side of the ball Anderson is a good lateral athlete covering and shooting gaps with ease. Anderson already holds multiple D1 offers including his most recent Virginia Tech offer.     [player_tooltip player_id='1623531' first='Teegan' last='Shirley'] is like I've mentioned before the enforcer of the DB roomat Kiski Area High School. Shirley is an athletic freak who I've seen test with my own eyes at the PRZ Combine earlier in May. Shirley on film plays with every inch of his long frame, being a nuisance in coverage because of his frame. In coverage Shirley is smooth, not real stiff, and plays with a high game IQ knowing where to be and when to make a play on the ball. Shirley in the run game was my favorite aspect of his game, being a physical tackler and taking pride in the dirty work of run defense. Shirley is a clear FCS caliber kid, and will be someone to watch this fall.     [player_tooltip player_id='1430558' first='Aven' last='Shirley'] is going to be the guy in the Kiski Area offense this season. Shirley is a pure athlete testing among the best of the camp as a whole in the PRZ Combine back in May. Shirley has a solid frame with sure hands. In the short game, Shirley has this burst after he makes a catch while also having a great understanding of body control, pairing for some pretty neat plays. When tracking deep balls Shirleys precise and patient often showing late hands. [player_tooltip player_id='1430558' first='Aven' last='Shirley'] is someone who should garner PSAC interest during his senior season.     [player_tooltip player_id='602062' first='Braden' last='Anderson'] hold the green dot for the Kiski Area defense. Anderson is a clear high IQ player at the Mike LB spot, getting everyone set and ready. On film, Anderson plays fast and powerful, being able to blitz the A gap while also being a good athlete in pass coverage. Anderson has this signature slip when facing blockers, stunning them with some pop and force, then slipping underneath to either get to the QB, or make a tackle on the RB in backfield. Anderson is another kid on this Kiski Area football team who should garner some PSAC interest in his senior year.     [player_tooltip player_id='1043625' first='Landyn' last='Artman'] looks to be the next starting QB for Kiski Area HS. Artman played varsity time as a WR in his freshman season, looking like a smooth athlete after the catch. At QB on film, he's accurate and poised in the pocket. Artman is a dual threat QB without a doubt, offering a really good running aspect to this offense. Artman is someone who could bloom into a star in his sophomore season, and a name that could be someone to watch in the future.     [player_tooltip player_id='1718837' first='Andrew' last='Finney'] is the gadget guy on Kiski Areas offense. Finney is your prototypical slot or F WR, quick, shifty, and reliable. On film Finney excels on out breaking routes, being able to plant and turn out. After the catch he's pretty savvy, is able to break tackles and make defenders miss. Finney is going to be a key piece of the offense in his senior year for Kiski Area High School.     Collin Peterson is a gritty LB for Kiski Area HS. Peterson plays with a ton of passion, lining up from OLB to MLB. Peterson makes tackles from any spot on the field, while being strong enough to take pulls and kickout blocks from lineman while being able to make tackles in the same play. Peterson is an underrated factor on the Kiski Area defense.
