Going into junior year is an important mark for the quarterback position. I want to discuss some of the more established quarterbacks, as we will discuss the standing of four ranked prospects in our current rankings. Let's dive into their latest film posted on hudl and see what their buzz is all about.

[player_tooltip player_id='1526768' first='Collin' last='Boff'] was a name that popped in 2024 with the great season he had with Harvest Prep. His biggest asset is his ball velocity. Several times, Boff fits tight windows over the middle of the field and at various depths of the field. He has a controlled arm that helps with his ball placement and accuracy. He can rip it short and lay the ball in pockets down the field. He can throw very well off platform and can go vertical while on the move. He has tremendous arm talent and can drive with accuracy. He has great timing and is quick to get the ball out on his deep throws. He can throw from several arm slots, and everything with Boff is smooth and fluid. As a processor, he can get through several reads in a play if his original read isn't open, and you can see his head move as plays develop. In the pocket, Boff holds the ball high and well protected. As an athlete, Boff has mobile enough legs to escape pressure and can be utilized as a runner in the quarterback run game. Boff is our QB1 for a reason, and many, not just in Ohio but nationally, will learn who Boff is and ask if their favorite program is recruiting him.

[player_tooltip player_id='379089' first='Tyce' last='Whiteman'] is someone who can put together an outstanding 2025 season. After a shocking miss at the 2024 playoffs, expect Sheridan to come back and come back hard behind Tyce's play. He has great straight-line ball velocity. His arm shines in the short and intermediate aspects of the game. He has good body torque and gets his hips going in his throwing motion. The ball comes out of his hand high and powerful to complete his motion. He isn't the best athlete in terms of changing direction, but his length gives him big strides and the ability to cover rushing ground quickly. Big things are in his future, and I will be excited to watch what he can do with Sheridan this coming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1343590' first='Grey' last='Kegley'] is someone I am intrigued by going into 2025. Last season, he was with Thomas Worthington, but he will be with Gahanna Lincoln in the upcoming season. His release is quick and can get the ball out of his hand in an instant. His arm down the field looks great, and his ball doesn't die or lose its power. He can push vertically, and he can also stretch the field to work the sidelines. His ball placement is excellent as he can hit guys on the run down the field and keep his receivers safe from linebackers in pursuit. I want to see more from him as an athlete this season, as Thomas Worthington didn't have him create much as a runner. I believe the athleticism and size are there, but nothing was shown. Stepping up for a program like Gahanna Lincoln is a big step up, but I'm excited for Grey to show what he can do this season.

Maxim Miller is a name I can see popping up a lot during the 2025 season. Miller has been working with notable quarterback trainer Brad Maendler, who has taken some of the top quarterbacks in the region under his process, and the proof is in the pudding. He has a good arm that can push downfield vertically, but is much better in the short and intermediate game. As a processor, he scans the field, but can take off if he doesn't like what he sees. He can create off-platform well in times when he does take off. When he does take off early, he does it to create passing rather than rushing for yards. He is accurate in the short and intermediate areas of the field. As of now, he is probably a game manager, but I'm confident that he'll take the step up this season. I am high on Miller already due to his potential, so I hope to see him ball out this coming season and rise within our rankings.
