Ahead by just one point, Westerville North called upon Class of 2028 quarterback Ethan Stewart to get the job done, and he certainly was ready for his opportunity. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound prospect flashed a quick release, strong arm, very good and accurate delivery, and velocity over the middle of the field against Marysville, throwing for three touchdown passes. The Warriors’ lead ballooned en route to a 31-9 victory, giving them a 1-0 start to the season heading into a matchup with Olentangy Orange on Friday. He finished 4/7 for 162 passing yards and three touchdowns.

Stewart is a big-framed lefty with a good arm and natural touch on the football. He throws with feel, especially when working intermediate and down the field, and shows the ability to layer passes with control. There are flashes of real arm talent that stand out, and his size gives him a strong foundation to continue developing. He carries himself like a coachable player, someone who can take instruction and continue to refine his game. There’s a solid blend of tools here, and he looks like a quarterback who could take meaningful steps forward with the right development.

I like Ethan Stewart Ethan Stewart 6'3" | 172 lbs | QB Westerville North | 2028 State OH ‘s overall athletic ability. He can drop passes in the bucket on short/intermediate routes, he has a quick release and flashes solid mobility. He is tall with a long-legged frame, he flashes poise under duress, and can make tough completions with defenders in his face. Multi-sport athlete who shined at the Stock Up Showcase in Columbus last month.

Stewart was a player I was interested in seeing. He measured in at his listed 6’3. He has a long and slender frame to building on. His throwing mechanics solid. His accuracy was good. When it comes to his velocity, I think there’s still a lot more in there. He has the looseness and whip he just needs to continue to get stronger. I really like his upside.

Ethan should be one of the more physically talented QBs in the class. He showcases good pocket awareness and overall feel for the pocket in his film. Going from sophomore to junior year will be a big step for him, and I want to see him start to build momentum off a good showing Saturday.
