With a quick first step, very good bend and explosive twitch, Petty can deliver heavy hits to the quarterback and be very disruptive. He is also a contributor on kickoff coverage where he is very quick to get downhill and takes great angles to returners. Keep an eye on his offer list to only grow.

Petty lines up at middle linebacker for the Rams. Because of his plus size and length, I project him to play on the outside at the next level. Depending on how he develops physically I like him either as an edge or a defensive end at the next level. Quintin has a great feel for playing in space and mirroring. When it’s time to fire he’s explosive and downhill. He has the hips and speed to play sideline to sideline. With his length and athleticism along with the physicality he plays with I think he will be a nightmare for teams to block off the edge. Petty has an offer from the University of Toleo.
