Coaches’ notes on McQueen: “The signal caller on the back end of our defense displayed his high football IQ all weekend. Due to his speed and agility to get in coverage, most teams quickly realized and didn’t target his side of the field with deep passes. The one deep pass thrown to his side was intercepted by McQueen. He finished the weekend with 1 interception and about 5 PBUs.

Ladell McQueen is a tough matchup for WRs across the state. He’s a talented DB in Montgomery Catholic’s secondary and has a huge junior season ahead.

“McQueen is a versatile DB who can line up and produce out in coverage against some really talented pass catchers. He’s quick on his feet, has impressive timing and hand usage, and does a great job tracking the ball in the air, creating some impressive PBUs and INTs.

McQueen also shows up big in run support. He can fly around the field and dish out huge hits and create some big tackles, preventing huge gains on the ground from breaking free in the open field. Overall, there’s a ton to like with McQueen’s film. I think he’s going to see his stock soar this year.”

McQueen showed a ton of talent and potential on tape this past season. I really look forward to seeing what he can do with another year under his belt. There’s a lot to be excited with his game.
