One of 6A’s most productive pass rushers from last season returns in 2025, and the Wolfpacks’ defense is much better for it. In 2024, Schmitzer recorded 30 total tackles, 7 TFLs, 5.0 Sacks, and a forced fumble in 8 games. Playing both standing up and with his hand in the dirt on the outside, Schmitzer boasts a handful of nasty moves that he uses to work through offensive linemen. A club, a speed rush, and a gross push-pull all allow him to create havoc in the backfield. When he sacks quarterbacks, it’s for a tremendous loss. He’s got game-influencing potential that I think could be on full display next year.
