About Nolan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a team player and I like to go out there and have fun in the trenches. I’m a physical and disciplined offensive lineman who takes pride in finishing blocks and protecting the quarterback. I play with good leverage, fill gaps well, and communicate well with teammates on every snap. I’m always trying to improve my footwork, strength, and football IQ.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I know the game takes both mental and physical toughness. I am team-first player who stays disciplined and works hard every day. I take pride in being dependable, physical, and coachable while bringing leadership and pride to the offensive line. My mentality is to compete every snap, protect my teammates, and keep improving my game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently involved in Track and Field, and also have played traveling baseball, basketball and wrestled, along with football. I also serve a role on our Varsity Leadership committee representing my grade as leader on our football team. I received the Hit-Man of the year award in 8th grade football and have served as a captain of the team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

In the past I have led my teams as the captain of our team. I also was selected as a 9th grade representative on our Varsity Leadership committee. Playing offensive line has helped me develop this leadership role, communication, and teamwork skills. The offensive line has to work together every play, so I’ve learned the importance of trust, accountability, and putting the team first.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest challenges I’ve faced, is recently recovering from two knee surgeries, related to a discoid meniscus. The process tested me both physically/mentally, but it taught me discipline, patience, and resilience. I stayed committed to rehab, focused on improving every day, and learned how important preparation and perseverance are. This experience has made me mentally tougher and stronger!

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to bring my talent and size to any school that I can make a positive impact and that has a strong academic program. I am looking for a program with a strong culture and the chance to be pushed to be the best player that I can be to make a positive impact on that program!

Nolan Weisbrod Nolan Weisbrod Nolan Weisbrod 6'4" | 360 lbs | OL Park Of Cottage Grove | 2029 MN immediately stands out among other Lineman prospects among this freshman class, as you could easily mistake him as a college starter already. A strong Center who excels in the interior, Weisbrod is able to close down interior pressure gaps almost single-handedly and doesn’t get beaten easily to the outside. I would like to see Weisbrod work more this offseason on getting lower with his stance and pad-level to improve his flexibility, but with his athletic frame at this age, he’s going to be an immovable piece on the trenches for the Wolfpack going forward.
