Kahl moved to Iowa City from Colorado and sparked the Little Hawks' offense with a physical running style that complemented its nasty offensive line. He averaged 6.5 yards per carry and scored 17 touchdowns despite missing time with an injury. Kahl shows good patience in setting up his blocks. Keen vision spots openings in the defense and acceleration through those holes gets him into one-on-one situations on the second and third levels. Once there, Kahl can run over or around would-be tacklers. He shows good straight-ahead speed when underway.

I caught Donald against now four-time defending state champion Southeast Polk during the regular season. He stood out initially just by being a large human. Once the ball was snapped, Donald displayed athleticism and agility in a massive frame. While there's always technical development remaining with young players, Donald already offers sound fundamentals. He smoothly drops into his stance and slides well laterally in pass-pro. He hits his aiming points in the run game, keeps the pads down and drives with his legs.

Bingham is a really good athlete developing as a quarterback. He could end up on that path but his athleticism keeps open doors to other positions in the future. Oh, by the way, he picked off six passes and ranked as one of Pleasantville's leading tacklers last year. Colleges are taking notice. Northwestern and Wisconsin invited him to summer camps last week. As a quarterback, Bingham's arm and legs serve as weapons defenses must respect. Defensively, he fits nice at safety as a playmaker capable of running with receivers or banging heads in the box.

Green is one of the headliners for a Northwest outfit with lots of returning talent and big dreams in 2025. As a sophomore last fall, he led the Wolves with 40 receptions for 670 yards and nine touchdowns. He added 77 yards and a score on three punt returns, and averaged 19.9 yards with a TD on 16 kicks returns. Green checks a lot of boxes as a receiver. He's a slick route runner able to get free on short, intermediate and deep routes. Green makes people miss in space with quick feet and lateral quickness. He high-points the ball well with strong hands to come down with contested catches.

Heitland being listed as a "football player" would be as fitting as labeling him an "athlete." He's a menace with the ball in his hands when given the slightest bit of space. His sharp cutting and ability to accelerate quickly makes him difficult to tackle. He can be moved around the formation, creating mismatches with the opponent. Heitland's physicality and athleticism at receiver could work in the secondary as well.

As the No. 2 back for the Cougars last Fall, Orr rushed for more than 300 yards in his sophomore campaign. He ran for a touchdown and caught a 24-yard score. The performance in a limited role likely foreshadowed what will be a breakout 2025. While Orr is a taller back, he's elusive as an upright runner, combing sharp cutting with power to make defenders miss in multiple ways. He flows within the offense, allowing blocks to set up and picking his way through traffic. He's a well-rounded back that also boxes and runs track. You should be intrigued.
