. The 2027 WR put on a show in 2025 with his dominance as a vertical threat. He finished with 41/876/12, good enough for a 21.4 yds/rec average. Everything from the stats to the tape screams that Ben is a WR that you can utilize to stretch the field. It isn’ just raw speed that sparks those big plays through. Ben is a savvy, tricky route runner who uses double moves or head fakes or other tricks to get DBs to bite and put themselves out of position. Give Ben an inch of leverage on a DB and he will make them pay. Don’t miss out on this exciting weapon.

Ben is a deep threat specialist. It shows on tape, it showed when I watched him live. All this kid does is get behind the defense for huge chunk plays. That culminated in 21+ yds/rec on the season. Defenses respect the speed too, giving him big cushions. The Crusaders offense counters that with Ben utilizing double moves, running from the slot on corner routes or other routes that allow him to open up space with head fakes and quick breaks instead of just having him win with speed vs that cushion. The numbers should be explosive once again in 2026. Keep an eye on Ben.

Ben was serviceable as a sophomore. As a junior he was simply unstoppable. Ben went from 3/287/3 in 2024 to 41/876/12 as a junior. Both years he led the team, but it is clear in 2025 he was a focal point of the offense. I was lucky enough to watch him live this season. There is one thing his game revolves around. Speed. Ben is a dominant deep threat who ripped the top off the defense on a week to week basis. DBs can’t seem to run with him and his natural ball skills make him a great threat at WR. His 21.4 yds/rec. are just a hit towards the mismatch he provides out wide. I can’t wait to see some combine numbers from the 2027.

. Both of his TDs came off of quick passes. The first he was able to get to the sideline and once the junior had green grass in front of him there was no chasing him down. His top end speed is some of the best I have come across for the Class of 2027. His 2nd TD showed more of his agility and short area quickness as he took the quick pass and weaved through defenders to get into the endzone. Ben has that playmaking ability to a level where any touch could result in 6 points.

of Edgewood has been on an absolute tear this season! Week 6 may have been his best effort yet. The junior averaged almost 36 yds/rec in a dominant display of talent. The best part is that the junior dominated while attacking every level. He took bubble screens for 6, got behind the defense for long chunk plays. The junior also flashed the speed, taking a quick slant for 6. If you let this kid get a clean release, or an alley cleared out from screen blockers, Ben is going to make the defense pay with his game breaking speed. Defenses are going to have to make sure they have help over the top wherever he lines up. He is a serious mismatch out wide.

Ben capitalized on every single opportunity he was give in the dominant Week 4 win. TD #1 came off a nice double move that easily opened up space for his QB to have an easy throw. TD #2 showed off more of the speed Ben has as he took the quick pass and beat pursuit down the sideline for the score. TD #3 demonstrated his ability to make DBs miss 1 on 1 and also rip through arm tackles when the defense did get hands on him. Morey is an intriguing playmaker that I will continue to watch over the next year.
