A hole plugger on the defensive line, Davis (or “Big Willie” as his coaches and teammates call him), will be a solid one-tech defensive tackle for the Warriors this season. A quite big man, Davis isn’t a gentle giant. The OL/DL combo didn’t take any reps off last week, playing scout team offense and first team defense for the entirety of the Warriors’ hour-long install session, and he made things difficult for the offense to run much. He’ll find his fits and stop opponents’ ground game this fall.
