One of the best WRs in WI is DC Everest’s Xavier Edwards Xavier Edwards 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR D.C. Everest | 2026 State WI . The ’26 is something built in a lab. A massive frame with an equal catch radius thanks to his elite hands and aggressive play to go get it at the high point. Edwards is also very talented at tracking the ball downfield. His long speed pairs with the ball skills to make him a great deep threat. He will have a new QB, but I can’t wait to see his final year at the HS level and the numbers he puts up.

You can go ahead and ignore that WR ranking next to Xavier’s name. After what he showed last fall, and especially after this summer, Xavier is on his way towards being well inside that Top 3-5 WRs in the state. The fireworks should be plentiful on Friday nights for him too. He can win basically every way. Want him to use that size to high point a ball over a CB in the endzone or deep downfield? Light work. Want him to run quick routes in the short-intermediate passing game that leaves CBs just trying to stay close? No problem. Want to see him muscle his way off the line, stack the CB, and pull away down the sideline as he track the ball over his shoulder? You will get plenty of that this fall too. DC Everest is going to have plenty of fireworks this fall with Edwards lining up out wide.

I have been a long time fan of the DC Everest WR, but what he did at the Minnesconsin Mega Camp even blew me away. The 6’3″ 180 lbs 2026 WR crushed the combine, especially with that elite level frame. He ran a 4.47 40, 4.5 shuttle, hit a 10′ broad jump, and a 35.1″ vertical. We are talking about a massive athlete with speed to stretch the field, hands to maximize his catch radius, and the leaping ability to give his QBs a huge target area. On the field we got to see it all come together as he stretched the field, attacked the ball at the high point over DBs where they couldn’t get it. He got open using his frame and strong route running. Xavier dominated the day with his reps and his combine numbers. He was the best WR I saw, and you can bet he is pushing towards the top of this WR class that already has multiple D1 commits in it. Get on this kid. He is a stud.

The DC Everest big play WR cracked the statistical rankings with his 951 yards coming off of 49 receptions that produced 7 TDs. The 951 yards finished 14th in the state. The big catch radius WR shined with his ability to stretch the field vertically, highlighted by his nearly 20 yds/rec while playing against D1 competition and helping Everest make a run that nearly ended with a State appearance. There will be turnover on the offense this season, but having a go-to target with the big play abilities and reliable traits that Xavier has will be a huge bonus for his new starting QB.

Another standout WR to know made a name for himself during a game I attended live. The 6’2″ 180 lbs playmaker showed what the rest of his tape from the season also was putting out. That he is a dominant WR1 for his offense. He is able to attack every level of the field with success. In the short area he can turn the quick catch into a 20 yard gain with his surprising elusive agility. He is able to open up separation with his route running in the intermediate level and Xavier surprises with his speed and long strides when he looks to take the top off the defense. Edwards’ ball skills jump off the tape too, high pointing the ball or catching it through hands, and hanging on through its. Xavier dominates on the outside and has the talent to continue doing it at the next level.
