After an amazing first round of playoffs in New Jersey, a few players have set themselves apart from the crowd and look ready to lead the charge to a state title. Here are 10 of the offensive players in the state that you need to keep an eye on over the next few weeks.

Quarterbacks

Robert O'Connor: Millville '27

Millville continued their winning ways this weekend with a dominant 49-6 win over Red Bank in the first round of the playoffs. Millville dominated defensively and on the ground, but Robert also found success by finding the end zone for 1 touchdown pass. Robert is a pocket passer in the truest sense, and is one to rarely force the ball and put his team in a bad position. On the year, Robert has over 1500 passing yards and has thrown 20 touchdowns to 5 interceptions. Millville may have to rely on Robert's arm a little more when they square off against Marlboro in the semifinals.

[player_tooltip player_id='404656' first='Justus' last='Favata']: Ramsey '26

When Ramsey needed a big performance, [player_tooltip player_id='404656' first='Justus' last='Favata'] rose to the occasion. In the 27-24 win, Justus threw for 236 yards and found the end zone through the air once as well. Even more impressive, Justus ran in the final score of the game to put his team ahead for the win. Justus has been doing things like this all season long, as he now has 1820 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and is second in rushing on his team. Ramsey has a tough task next weekend in the semifinals, as they travel to Hanover Park for the section semifinal.

[player_tooltip player_id='1551126' first='Nolan' last='Walsh']: Bernards '27

Bernards remains undefeated after a close 35-33 win against a talented Rutherford in the first round of the playoffs. The 6'1" gun slinger has been causing headaches for defensive coordinators all season, as he has tossed for 1455 yards, 14 touchdowns, and only 3 interceptions (prior to the game against Lyndhurst). 10-0 Bernards will be hosting Pequannock, a team that is no easy task to stop, especially on the ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='1524822' first='Will' last='Allen'] lived up to the hype this past weekend, as he led 7-2 Chatham to a 24-7 victory over Wayne Valley. In the playoff victory, Will threw an astounding 3 touchdowns, 217 yards, and rushed for another 59 yards. Will is a tall, big framed quarterback that has no troubles seeing the entire field in front of him. Will is quite the arm talent, as he is able to put the ball where it needs to be regardless of where his receiver is on the field. Even more impressive, Will's arm strength and ability to escape the pocket makes him extremely dangerous any time he is on the run and looking downfield.

Will has impressed all season long, as he has now thrown 15 touchdowns, 1833 yards, and ran in another 5 touchdowns. 7-2 Chatham will now go head to head with one of the top public schools in the state in Phillipsburg.

Running Backs

[player_tooltip player_id='1466365' first='Angelo' last='Cundiff']: Pequannock '25

As we touched on Pequannock a moment ago, here is the running back they has the potential to cause trouble for Bernards next weekend. A big bodied, reliable back, Angelo once again dominated this past weekend as he ran the ball 24 times for 193 yards and a touchdown in the close 28-27 win. On the season, Angelo now has 1215 rushing yards and has found the end zone 18 times. Don't be surprised if he puts up the performance of a lifetime and tops 20 touchdowns on the season next weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1043551' first='Bobby' last='Brickner']: Morris Knolls '25

Morris Knolls stays perfect on the season with a big win over 43-13 win over Colonia. While Bobby didn't find the end zone, there is a good chance he gets the opportunity next weekend against Mt. Olive. Prior to this past weekend, Bobby had found the end zone 9 times and had just under 1000 rushing yards. A bowling ball of a runner, look for Morris Knolls to rely on him any time they are in the trenches.

Add a few more touchdowns to the stat column, as [player_tooltip player_id='1522216' first='Jerron' last='Martress'] now has 24 rushing touchdowns on the season after he ran for 97 yards and 3 touchdowns in the 49-6 win over Becton. Jerron has truly done it all for High Point this season, as he runs the ball hard between the trenches and can also break free and run by defenders in the open field. On the year, Jerron has been a workhorse as he has rushed for 1573 yards, 24 touchdowns, and caught 116 yards as well.

High Point will need another big performance out of Jerron this weekend, as they head to 8-1 Glen Rock.

Wide Receivers

[player_tooltip player_id='1097477' first='Jake' last='Blum']: Mainland '26

Mainland did exactly what we thought they'd do, as they had ended Barnegat's season with a 49-14 win. Mainland's pass attack is lethal, and a lot of that has to do with the chemistry between [player_tooltip player_id='855776' first='John' last='Franchini'] and WR1 [player_tooltip player_id='1097477' first='Jake' last='Blum']. Check out Jake's highlights, because he is an electric receiver that is quick off of the line and can create separation immediately. In the quarterfinal matchup, Jake took a pass 96 yards to the end zone. As long as Mainland keeps feeding Jake the ball, we can continue to expect big plays like that to happen.

[player_tooltip player_id='1476850' first='Jordan' last='Angstreich']: Rumson-Fair Haven '25

The top receiving target for an undefeated team, [player_tooltip player_id='1476850' first='Jordan' last='Angstreich'] has been near impossible to slow down all year. Rumson-Fair Haven shined once again on both sides of the ball, as they shut out Spotswood 48-0. This wasn't a one off game either, this team has put up 40+ points consistently throughout the season and have held 6 opponents to under 10 points. Through the air, Jordan has provided the majority of the targets as he had 44 receptions, 839 yards, and 10 touchdowns prior to the game against Spotswood.

Everyone in the state is familiar with [player_tooltip player_id='218554' first='Lotzeir' last='Brooks'], and for good reason. The Alabama commit has been a star for Millville his entire high school career, and he is now looking to end it by helping his program win a state championship. Lotzeir is arguably the fastest receiver in the entire state. His route running skills go unmatched, as his quick feet and changes in speed make it near impossible for DBs to stay with him as he runs down the field. Prior to the win over Red Bank, Lotzeir has caught the ball 38 times for 888 yards and 12 touchdowns. In the playoff matchup, Lotzeir ran a touchdown in, making it his second rushing touchdown on the season.
