2028 wide receiver and defensive back Gage LeFrere Gage LeFrere OK has started for the Tigers since his freshman season. In 2024, LeFrere emerged as a player to know in the state’s 2028 class when he was a ball hawk of a cornerback with quite a few interceptions. Last season, LeFrere was a strong weapon on both sides of the ball. This offseason, LeFrere moved over to Bixby and went through spring drills with the Spartans. But this summer, he moved back to Pryor and rejoined a Tiger team where he will be a luxury item on offense with how many playmaking receivers they have. But his services on the defensive side of the ball definitely put Pryor in a better position.

Wide receiver and cornerback Gage LeFrere Gage LeFrere OK is a prospect to watch this fall as he joins the 6A-1 champions at Bixby. LeFrere spent the last two years at Pryor. He had a solid freshman season on the defensive side of the ball and then became more of a two-way threat last year and was a big part of arguably Pryor’s best season in recent memory. This year, LeFrere is joining a Bixby roster that has to replace their entire secondary and all of their production at the wide receiver position. There will be opportunities for LeFrere to step into those roles and make plays against 6A-1 competition week in and week out. The transition from 5A football to 6A-1 football is one thing but he is joining a team that has won eight straight titles.

It was around this time last year that we first caught Gage LeFrere Gage LeFrere 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB/WR Pryor | 2028 State OK in person and the arrow has been pointing up ever since. LeFrere saw plenty of playing time for Pryor as a freshman but mostly on the defensive side of the ball. As a sophomore, he played both ways and was a fun player to watch as the Tigers had arguably the best season in recent memory. A month ago, LeFrere announced that he was on the move and landed with 6A-1 champion Bixby. A couple things stand out about this move. First, it’s obviously a step up in competition for LeFrere as he joins one of the top programs in the country. But it will be interesting to see how Bixby uses him and his abilities on offense and defense this spring and into the fall.

Sophomore Gage LeFrere Gage LeFrere 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB/WR Pryor | 2028 State OK is a name that we’re very high on moving forward after throwing on the film, seeing his legitimate production as a freshman and then seeing him in person this offseason. LeFrere got meaningful playing time on both sides of the ball and was very impactful on defense. He was one of the team’s leaders with five interceptions. We got a chance to see him go to work a handful of times this offseason and his abilities on the offensive side of the ball will make him a match-up nightmare for opposing defenses. Especially when you consider how much firepower Pryor brings back on offense. LeFrere has a lot of potential moving forward as a 2028 prospect.

Pryor isn’t a program that produces that elite level of prospect year after year but they have an absolute gem with LeFrere. We’ve watched LeFrere in person at a couple times this offseason, at our 7v7 tournament and our showcase camp. In both instances, LeFrere was one of the top players on the football field. Then we also checked out his film and LeFrere was performing at an incredibly high level. He produced in a major way on the defensive side of the ball. Whether he’s on offense or defense, LeFrere has the potential of being an absolute star. He has size, real speed and legitimate production. So it feels like he’s just scratching the surface on what he’ll be moving forward.
