A speedster with a good track background, 6’2, 185 lb. Pleasant Valley High School senior RB and FS Makhi Wilson Makhi Wilson 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB Pleasant Valley | 2023 IA has run multiple sub-4.5s at various college prospect camps and came into the season a popular recruit with Grand View, Peru State, St. Ambrose, Upper Iowa, Bemidji State, MSU-Mankato, Northern Iowa, and Minnesota State University-Moorhead offers before the season and exciting opportunities coming during the fall as Eastern Illinois offered a scholarship and Iowa State offered a PWO. Excitedly, Wilson picked the scholarship route and committed to Eastern Illinois on October 31st. His tape looks good as a FS and RB but I particularly like his DB film, where he’s long, can cover a ton of ground in run support and plays with good angles, is a strong tackler, and has the speed to hang with wideouts in man coverage. On offense he can run or run through tackle attempts with a more physical edge as a RB than I’m used to seeing.
