There’s not another quarterback in the state, regardless of class, that has been responsible for more offensive production in the last two seasons. Talihina signal caller

has put up numbers that you only see in video games. Last season, he threw for over 4,000 yards while running for more than 1,000 yards. He also accounted for 75 touchdowns between passing and running. It was a remarkable junior season that was capped off with a state championship to complete a perfect season. Griffith is an absolute baller and he should be recognized as one of the state’s very best athletes as we head into the 2026 season. He plays at a lower level in Class A-2 so maybe there’s a cap on what he is as a prospect but we don’t see it that way. This guy is a winner and there’s literally nobody else in the state that can produce at a level quite like Griffith has over the last two seasons.

is another southeastern Oklahoma quarterback that enjoyed a breakout season last fall and is continuing to rise this year. Griffith put up some monster numbers to get everyone’s attention last year and the production is still there at a ridiculous clip this fall. But one thing that we really like about his game is his growth from a physical standpoint. He helped guide Talihina to the state title game a year ago but he was not very big. Having just watched him in person last week, he looks like he’s grown quite a bit and the questions about his size are going away. He also has his team as the favorite to capture the gold ball.

is arguably the biggest reason why Talihina is the preseason number one team in Class A-2, heading into the 2025 season. Griffith was one of the biggest breakout stars last season and put up numbers that we just don’t see very often. He threw for over 2,700 yards and 31 touchdowns with just three interceptions. He also added over 1,700 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground. He comes into the 2025 season with a legitimate shot of being a rare member of the state’s “2K2K” club. A quarterback who throws for 2,000 yards and runs for 2,000 yards. With basically the entire offense back, there’s no reason to think he can’t do it.
(2024 All State Honorable Mention)

and similar to Howell and Posey, Griffith was one of the biggest breakout stars of the 2024 season. Just two years removed from Talihina not having a football season, Griffith led them all the way to the Class A-2 state championship game. And while he was driving Talihina to Edmond, he was putting up some absolutely monster numbers. It was very similar to what Howell was doing at Broken Bow when it came to the pass and rushing numbers. But Griffith was able to do it all the way to the state championship game and it didn’t matter who the opponent was, Griffith continued to produce at a very high level. When it comes to his future as a prospect, we’re not sure how high he can climb. But when it comes to Griffith over the next two years, he’ll be one of the more dynamic players in the state.
