The theme of this article will continue to be body type and frame. O’Brien is another receiver that stuck out to me at the event. He’s 6 foot which already moves the needle at this age, but what stood out to me is how strong he is. Strong at the point of the catch, strong running routes against DBs. I could see him projecting to tight end because of how strong he is-if he grows a bit more. He was the second best receiver of the day, in my opinion. Super reliable, super solid, only going up from here.

lined it up at the New Jersey Prep Redzone Next Middle School Exposure Camp and was dominant. While he impressed last year as a seventh-grader, this year he brought home MVP honors as eighth-grader. From the first time I saw him play two years ago, I’ve said he may ultimately end up as a Tight End depending how big he gets. He’s a broad-shouldered, 6-foot, 180-pound playmaker with soft hands and can move (5.1 in the forty). He also happened to be teammate with

Mason instantly grabbed my attention with his towering height, setting himself apart from the pack. While he worked effectively with the running backs and linebackers, it was his performance with the defensive backs and wide receivers later in the day that truly showcased his potential. Mason’s long reach and ability to create immediate separation off the line were impressive, and his nimble footwork for such a large frame hinted at possible growth into a wide receiver role over time (currently a tight end). In linebacker drills, Mason covered ground swiftly, displaying excellent range in zone coverage. He also held his own with the running backs and linebackers, showing versatility that could see him thrive as an outside linebacker or edge rusher. With his standout skills and adaptability, Mason feels like a lock for the All-Star roster.

above, O’Brien is another prospect that came to the RB/LB tryout and was an immediate head-turner. Thankfully, he stayed for the WR/DB/QB portion of the tryout and he confirmed my hunch–this kid has the potential to be a stud Tight End. O’Brien moved through bag drills exceptionally well. He has the size and adequate muscle mass to play TE on this team and also showed physicality when it was time to bang in hitting drills.
