Kunkel is able to create separation on verticals, while the also being able to read defenses and snap off hard to return on a comeback route. Kunkel seems to understand that discretion is sometimes the better part of valor. I say this as it seems that Kunkel saves his top speed for the open field. A fundamentally-sound prospect, ball security is a top priority as he holds the ball high and tight; Kunkel also uses his hands exclusively to catch the ball.
