Expert Analysis

D1 commit since his junior year, Shackelford is ready to make a statement. Hailing from Keystone high school both excelling in football as well as a track state champ Shackleton’s thing is drive. Shackelford has made key plays including, cut backs, tight windows, and so many other aspects. Watching Shackelford his drive allows him to be unstoppable in speed but agility as well. I am really excited to watch Shackelford in the next 4 and especially right now in the off-season and see what the prep can result in.

Shackleford is a wide receiver with blazing speed out of Keystone High School in Northeast Ohio. Just to show how much speed and explosiveness Ryne has, he won the D2 state championship in the 100 (10.62), 200 (21.31), and the long jump (24′ 1.5″). When Shackelford lines up at wide receiver there must be a hint of fear in the back of the mind of the opposing defensive back. If they give the proper respect and back off, he has a catch and a chance to pick up yards in the underneath. If you test your luck and press up a little and get a good turn and run, he’s going to run right past you. Shackelford has also been used in reverses and as a returner on special teams where he is a threat to take it the distance. Shackleford will need to add some weight, but he has the frame to do it. New Boilermaker offensive coordinator Graham Harrell will have a big-time vertical threat to game plan with.
