Continue ReadingFive big time receivers, both WRs and TEs, are beyond talented in their receiving positions. These five, either committed or not, all have a high capacity of performance as it is known everyone’s peak is different and through this off-season of offers and drive I am excited to see where each of these prospects climb to take it to the next level.
Diaz, an asset to Shaker Heights offensive lineup at the tight end position in the previous fall, is a huge player on the field. Statistically holding 26 receptions, 324yds, and 4 touchdowns Diaz is a conference play maker. Blocking is Diaz’s specialty which allows for great strength and assertion of dominance in the TE position. Due to his efficiency as TE this has also translated to the defensive aspect as well. I think that as he moves forward into a D1 football program the continuation of assertion and athleticism in this off-season can allow for tremendous growth in the next chapter.
Zooming in on the WR room, Eilerman pushed the boundaries in his senior season. Having over 1,000yds, 20 tds, and many other accomplishments Eilerman is a stellar athlete. Running parallel to his own boundaries he pushes for forward progress and yardage no matter what that takes. In various key plays Eilerman is shown in his film coming back to the ball or taking a hit to make a solid reception. In addition to this running routes to Eilerman is textbook but at the same time he does not let a play fall through because of the route. Eilerman is a true contender and while his commitment is not set in stone, he is definitely one to watch and get him out and up. Only up and forward and I am excited to see what dime catches Eilerman can make in the next chapter.

Highlights
Jake Elly
Jake Elly
A widely versatile athlete, Elly dominated in Riverside’s season in the fall. Hitting the WR room rooted in a strong offense, Elly is no exception. Looking at the stats, 1st team All district, 2nd team All state, 1,734 receiving yards, 95 receptions, and various other huge stats. Not only does Elly show tremendous athleticism but can be put to the test in tight windows and situations and make a play happen. Whether he is faced with single coverage or double teamed Elly whether with his speed or accuracy can make a play happen. Offensively Elly is elite but in the same way shows strength defensively as well. Lets put this WR out there! Focusing on his dominance and drive Elly could find a good home for the next 4 at a high level. Cannot wait for the opportunities to roll in, in result of his success.

Curtis Thomas
Curtis Thomas
Prospect in the WR room Thomas, a recent South Dakota commit has a history of success. Looking at his senior season Thomas made incredible strides as a slot receiver whether that is ducking under two defenders or being a supportive offensive athlete by blocking or allowing plays to be made. Thomas in addition to his show out game day performance he exudes tremendous speed. Pairing with his speed he is able to see gaps in the defensive lineman and then push through defensive backs often ending up in the end zone. I think in this off-season polishing these components even more will make Thomas an even more explosive player and will make a statement at the collegiate level.
D1 commit since his junior year, Shackelford is ready to make a statement. Hailing from Keystone high school both excelling in football as well as a track state champ Shackleton’s thing is drive. Shackelford has made key plays including, cut backs, tight windows, and so many other aspects. Watching Shackelford his drive allows him to be unstoppable in speed but agility as well. I am really excited to watch Shackelford in the next 4 and especially right now in the off-season and see what the prep can result in.
