McAbee is ready for primetime and he earned the starting job at Farmersville after a great fall camp. He has the arm talent to push the ball downfield and he can make throws in the short to intermediate zones with accuracy. McAbee has a quick release, he makes good decisions with the football and when he gets on a roll he can carve up a defense. He won the job at Farmersville as a sophomore and the Farmers have found their quarterback for the foreseeable future.

Randall is a skilled thrower of the football for a player in just his sophomore season. He has been named the starter at Highland Park and started game one vs Rockwall Heath. Randall was very efficient from the start, he got ball out quick showing a whip like release and after taking a big shot in the first quarter, he seemed to get his bearings. He tossed a couple touchdown passes and lead the Scots to 34-21 win. Buck has the arm talent to complete passes with precision, he has the athleticism to make throws on the roll out and he can thread the needle in tight coverage. He is off to a great start to his career.

Rasheed takes over at Houston powerhouse program Atascocita heading into his sophomore season. He has the skill set to make plays with his arm and he is a dynamic runner who has the speed to run away from defenders at the second level. He has a strong arm, he can deliver strikes into small coverage windows and he has the pocket presence to evade the rush, step up through heavy traffic and deliver frozen ropes. He showed his wheels tonight with his first rushing touchdown of the season and he helped lead Atascocita to a 35-7 over Lamar. Rasheed has a high ceiling and he will be a key to the Eagles getting back to the playoffs in 2024.

Meyer III will be under center for the Indians this season and the stakes are high for a team that has been a consistent playoff team. He has the arm talent to make every throw on the route tree, he has a quick release and he can push the ball outside the numbers on a rope. Jerry has had a great summer and he has the skill set to give the Indians a dynamic passer to get the ball to their stable of playmakers. He opens up the season in Week 0 with Waxahachie rival Ennis in the Battle of 287. Meyer III played his freshman season in Nevada, where he set a single season record, tossing 58 touchdowns. Keep an eye on Meyer III and the Indians this season. As he begins to get settled in the Indians offense you can expect him to put up numbers.

Williams will open the season as the starting signal caller for the Farmers and he the skill set to make big plays. I had a chance to see Williams in the spring at the Farmers practice and at several 7v7 tournaments. His ball placement is superb and he seemed to get better at each stop. He has a cannon, he can make accurate throws into small passing windows and he has the arm talent to push the ball outside the numbers with precision. Tre throws from a solid base, his footwork is clean and he has a quick release. Williams will be a key cog in the Farmers offense this season. He has offers from Marshall, Arizona State, UNLV and Colorado State.

Torres will be under center this season for Burleson Centennial and he has the tools in his bag to be a playmaker at the quarterback position. He has a strong arm with ability to stretch field with the deep ball, but he can also make accurate throws in the short to intermediate zones. Torres has excellent pocket awareness and he has the ability to make plays with his legs to beat the rush. He will be a difference maker at the quarterback position and he looks to help lead the Spartans back to the playoffs this season.
