A junior QB to buy stock in now, Williams was poised and intentional in his reads in a big-time Week 3 win over Rockwall. He looked calm and collected inside the pocket all game, calmly going through his progressions and delivering strikes within the creases of zone coverages. Tre had a plan to take what the defense gave him, which he executed effectively, completing passes at all three levels. He totaled 230 yards with 3 touchdowns, while also showcasing some of his dual-threat talents. Expect Williams’ recruitment to ramp up throughout his junior season, as he currently holds offers from Sacramento State, Marshall, and UNLV.

The Farmers’ success started with their quarterback. Williams delivered a masterclass performance, tossing five touchdowns and surpassing 200 passing yards for the second straight week. What stood out wasn’t just the stats, but the variety of ways he attacked the defense. Williams threw with touch on the deep ball, changed arm angles to avoid rushers, and showed poise in the pocket while also flashing mobility when plays broke down. Recruiters will love his ability to make every throw on the route tree. His ceiling continues to climb.

While he may not possess a massive frame, Williams has all the poise, physicality, and arm strength necessary to command the offense. He consistently steps up in the pocket and, with a quick release, darts passes throughout the field in the face of pressure. Some could say he resembles the feisty and versatile play of Dillon Gabriel. He delivers passes with ease and great touch down the sideline. Tre excels at both getting the ball out quickly and evading pressure throughout the pocket. He also showcases legitimate dual-threat (4.75) speed. In 2024, Williams put together a solid season, accumulating over 1,650 yards and 16 touchdowns. The Farmers’ QB should be in store for a major step forward this season, as he adds to his offer list, which includes Arizona State, UNLV, and Marshall.

Williams will open the season as the starting signal caller for the Farmers and he the skill set to make big plays. I had a chance to see Williams in the spring at the Farmers practice and at several 7v7 tournaments. His ball placement is superb and he seemed to get better at each stop. He has a cannon, he can make accurate throws into small passing windows and he has the arm talent to push the ball outside the numbers with precision. Tre throws from a solid base, his footwork is clean and he has a quick release. Williams will be a key cog in the Farmers offense this season. is another dual-threat quarterback that showed out during camp. Coming out of the booming Frisco area, Tre is a dangerous cat out of the backfield who can do it all. With impressive testing numbers, Tre prove his athletic capability and translated it over to the drill work portion of the camp. Tre is a smooth thrower with a knack for placing the ball on the spot every time. On the run, Tre uses his athleticism to get out of the pocket and has the capability to throw the ball from different arm angles to get the job done.
