Roberts is a stout, twitchy back who should garner D1 attention this offseason. Roberts is elite in the short areas, playing with the twitch and foot speed to nickel and dime his way around traffic. He is explosive as well, quickly getting vertical when he plants. I love the patience that flashes on the tape, squeezing his blocks and often using them for easy access to space. Roberts brings a physical profile built for volume, paired with sneaky agility. He has the lateral mobility and deceptive quickness to evade defenders in space, while his forward lean and leg drive make him reliable in short-yardage situations. He does a strong job setting up his blockers, showing patience and awareness before committing to his downhill path.

Roberts competes hard on every carry and finishes strong. He shows promise as a consistent contributor in high-volume roles. Another year should help him sharpen his overall polish.

Roberts is explosive out of the backfield and was a huge reason why Reeltown went on their state title run last fall- he plays with great speed, twitch, and vision he uses to carve up defenses every time the ball is in his hands. Roberts is patient behind the line, finds rushing lanes, and revs up from 0-100 within an instant, breaking into the open field for huge gains on the ground.

On top of his skills on the ground, Roberts has the versatility to create in the passing game as well- consistently finding ways to get open underneath and making the most out of each reception.

Roberts was dominant on the ground last season, ending his sophomore year with 220 carries for 1547 yards and 14 TDs on the ground and 4 receptions for 36 yards and a TD through the air.

Traylen Roberts Traylen Roberts 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Reeltown | 2027 State AL has become an immediate playmaker in Reeltown’s offense over the past year, he has a ton of talents as a running back and is set up for a big sophomore season this fall. Roberts is a really dynamic back that causes tons of headaches for opposing defenses. Roberts plays with a ton of speed and physicality he uses to take carries the distance on a routine basis. He does a terrific job using his vision to follow teammates’ blocks and move the chains- very rarely does he put himself in harm’s way, he has a great understanding of where he needs to take the ball to be successful. Last fall this was easy to see as Roberts had a really productive freshman season- he ended the year with 67 carries for 616 yards and 8 touchdowns. It was super impressive watching Roberts do what he did last fall in his first year starting, he’s going to be a serious weapon for Reeltown’s offense the next few seasons. Be sure to watch Roberts this season, he has a ton of talent and is sure to make lots of plays all year long.
