Offensive Spotlight
Larry Royal, ATH, 6’1″ 190lbs, Queen Creek HS ’22
Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/10251049/Larry-Royal
Royal is an excellent all around athlete with the ability to line up on either side of the ball and be a threat. He is very versatile and dynamic as we’ve seen him line up at RB, DB, KR, and most recently WR in 7v7 on the popular “True Buzz” team. He sizes up with an athletic frame and build and ton of potential. Along with fellow RB Payton Barlow Payton Barlow 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH Queen Creek | 2022 State AZ , the 1-2 punch between Barlow and Royal will be absolutely deadly this next season. Royal shows solid vision as a ball carrier and has flashed a nice jump cut at the LOS to make initial opponents miss. He has impressive balance after contact as he frequently bounced and broke off tackles to spring himself loose. He displays solid top end speed for big play ability, and is definitely going to be a big threat with the ball in his hands. He’s had some impressive catches on various 7v7 tournaments, and showcased his ability to get shifty and make opponents miss in space at the “Showcase Football” camp. Royal is drawing much interest from numerous FBS programs, and I expect him to land his first offer very soon.

Defensive Spotlight
Kolton Cunningham, SS, 5’8″ 190lbs, Perry HS ’22
Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11264186/Kolton-Cunningham
Cunningham may not be the biggest player on the field, but he plays with a ton of heart and gives 100% every play. He finished his short junior season with 36 tackles and 4 PBU’s in arguably the toughest division in Arizona High School football. As you will see on his 1st play of his film against Basha, he does a good job punching through the hands of receivers to force PBU’s. He’s athletic and quick enough to man up on the slot and has flashed the ability to turn and run with them as they stretch vertical. He’s a smart kid as he’s shown solid play recognition with pretty good instincts, as there’s a few plays where you can tell he did his homework in the film room. He’s an effective tackler with a low point of contact, but will have to improve his strength at the POA and closing ground on ball carriers. He is also part of the wrestling team at Perry and maintains an impressive 4.5 GPA, and recorded a score of 31 on his ACT. Cunningham has gotten multiple NAIA and D3 attention thus far, and he works closely with Coach Lou Perrone, so you can expect him to draw much more interest from more programs going forward.
Thank you @Greg_Chimera @JayAnderson_JHU and @CoryPietrzyk22 for the virtual Junior Day yesterday. I had an awesome time learning about this great program!! @CoachPerrone pic.twitter.com/USpYfcKZcK
