In the world of recruiting, the timeline has sped up so much that by the time a prospect enters their senior season, it’s pretty rare that they become a power five prospect if they aren’t already on that radar. But there are exceptions to every rule and Enid wide receiver

proved that he is an exception with a phenomenal senior season. He was one of the absolute best and most productive wide receivers in the state. As we’ve written about before, Andrews was a wide receiver we knew about from his time playing 7v7 with Sooner 7 in the offseason but he became an absolute star as a senior. He made a stat line of ten catches, 150 yards and two touchdowns look routine every single week in 6A-1. Just like with Mejia at Broken Arrow, Oklahoma State jumped at the opportunity to sign this breakout star from the 2022 season.

Similar to a few other players on this list, we knew about Enid senior wide receiver

heading into the 2022 season. But we certainly did not expect him to become one of the top wide receivers in the state. And that’s exactly what happened as Andrews would put up some of the best receiving numbers during the 2022 season. He caught 135 passes for over 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns. Andrews not only put up those numbers but he did it every single week, no matter who the opponent was. Andrews also made things look normal and just part of the routine. It seemed like every week, Andrews was catching ten passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. That was a normal week of football for the Enid breakout star.

. We knew about Andrews for nearly two years after watching him play 7v7 in the offseason. But his senior year was his first moment of truly becoming one of the top wide receivers in the state. Even though Enid struggled on the scoreboard this season, Andrews did not struggle. He made 150 yards and two touchdowns look like a routine performance and it didn’t matter who the opponent was. He’s definitely a prospect in the 2023 class that rose his stock dramatically after a stellar senior season. Out of the ten prospects listed here, he and Sixkiller were the two biggest stock risers when it comes to his recruitment.

quite a bit this season and there’s a good reason for that. He’s gone off in more games than he hasn’t. He’s been arguably the best wide receiver in 6A-1 this season and the numbers back that up. In their final game of the regular season, Andrews would go off again. He would finish with well over 200 yards and four touchdowns receiving on 12 catches. Andrews and the Plainsmen have made it back to the playoffs and they’ll go on the road to face Edmond Memorial in the marquee game of the first round in 6A-1. If Andrews goes off again and Enid advances, Andrews will have a shot to get 20 touchdowns on the season.Access all of Prep Redzone

has to be on the shortlist for breakout player not only in Class 6A-1 but in the state. Every single week, Andrews made ten catches, 150 yards and two touchdowns look routine. Even against the tougher teams on the Enid schedule, Andrews continued to produce in a big way. Andrews has nearly 20 receiving touchdowns on the season. He rewrote the record book at Enid and has skyrocketed up the wide receiver ranks for the state’s 2023 class. We have watched Andrews the last two offseasons while he played with Sooner 7. We knew he was a good receiver. He has proved this season that he might just be a great one.

A lot of what was written about Sisco at Madill can be replicated right here with Enid wide receiver

. Coming into this season, Andrews was on our radar and had been a solid wide receiver up to that point. He had some good performances at Enid in the past and we had covered Andrews quite a bit in the offseason while he played with Sooner 7. But this season, Andrews has kicked it into another level. He’s become one of the top players in 6A-1 this season. He’s been a touchdown machine and has rewritten the record book at Enid. And like Sisco, not only is Andrews producing, but he’s producing against strong competition. And that’s what separates a good high school football player and a good college prospect. Andrews is both.

each and every week. On Thursday night, Andrews set the school’s single season record for yards and he finished with over 200 yards and two touchdowns on 12 receptions. He also had a rushing touchdown. Andrews is having an outstanding senior season and he’s a prospect on the rise in a big way.Access all of Prep Redzone

Our first breakout star is one name that we’re familiar with after watching him play 7v7 with Sooner 7 in the last two offseasons. Enid senior wide receiver

has been on our radar for 18 months or so after watching him in the offseason at the wide receiver position. However, this year, Andrews is putting everything together and performing on Fridays as well and has put up some monster numbers against good competition. Andrews has over 700 yards receiving and nine touchdowns so far this year and is on pace for one of the better statistical seasons in the state from a wide receiver. Enid has a few breakout stars on their offense but we’re giving the nod to Andrews for his consistency and productivity against some of the state’s better teams. He’s made games with over 150 yards and two touchdowns look normal. He’s done it in four of their five games so far this season.

has been one of the more consistent playmakers over the first few weeks of the season. As Enid improved to 2-1 on the season with a win over Edmond North, Andrews showed that he’s a wide receiver that needs to get more looks when it comes to playing at the next level. Andrews finished with nearly 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns on six catches in the win over the Huskies. Andrews has been incredibly impressive through their first three games so far. He’s had at least 150 yards and two touchdowns receiving in all three games this season for the Plainsmen. If Enid is going to surprise some teams and steal one of the playoff spots in 6A-1, they’ll need Andrews to continue to produce at the level he’s currently on.Access all of Prep Redzone
