Mailei has a good size and frame, he should get to 210+ lbs. He is a versatile athlete who can play running back, wildcat, and wide receiver, and can line up as an edge rusher and safety if needed. Mailei showcases good lateral explosiveness and has excellent movement patterns. He shows good quickness and overall speed. Mailei is a twitched-up athlete who displays good hands and ball-tracking skills. He’s an overall playmaker and should get looked at regionally in recruiting.

has some really impressive top speed that often has him pulling away from everyone else on the field. It’s not just the speed that makes him so dangerous though. Not at all afraid to lower his shoulder when he needs to, Mailei can run right through players just before he starts to pull away. Always looking for an opportunity to cut it back when a seam opens up, he has some impressive vision that helps him navigate the trenches. Mailei is certainly a prospect to watch heading into just his sophomore season.
