Jonah takes the top spot at the RB position, and he is a complete back. He shows good patience as a runner and has the quickness to make defenders miss in a phone booth and he has the speed and lateral quickness to get to the edge. He shows good hands and is an effective weapon out of the backfield to not only take dumpoffs but also get vertical and run routes. He could very well be a huge riser.

Jonah is an exciting Running Back and has the size needed to be an every down back. He showcases good vision, he is a patient runner and once he finds that gap, he explodes through. He shows good contact balance and does a good job getting to the second level. He has the necessary speed and hands to be an effective piece in the passing game. He’s a player who should garner additional P4 looks in recruiting.

Jonah has been excellent this season. He is a complete three-down back with good vision, patience, and burst through the hole. He survives initial contact and has the speed to hit for home. He has soft hands and is a weapon in the receiving game.

Jonah Mailei has some really impressive top speed that often has him pulling away from everyone else on the field. It’s not just the speed that makes him so dangerous though. Not at all afraid to lower his shoulder when he needs to, Mailei can run right through players just before he starts to pull away. Always looking for an opportunity to cut it back when a seam opens up, he has some impressive vision that helps him navigate the trenches. Mailei is certainly a prospect to watch heading into just his sophomore season.
