A few weeks back we ranked Oregon's top 6A/5A teams in an early preseason breakdown. Here we will incorporate Washington and rank the NW's top teams regardless of classification. There will be numerous updates and a much more extensive preview talking on each of the teams Indvidual athletes as the season draws near.

1.West Linn, OR

The state of Washington has dominated Oregon opponents over the years, so the Lions back-to-back wins by a combined score of 94-36 against 2x state champ Lake Stevens speaks volumes. West Linn is loaded from top to bottom with nationally ranked recruits [player_tooltip player_id='406756' first='Jake' last='Normoyle'] and [player_tooltip player_id='285855' first='Baron' last='Naone'] leading.

2.Bellevue, WA

Washington 3A state champ Bellevue is back and could be even better. They did lose the last two seasons to Oregon's Central Catholic and 34-31 to 4A state champ Lake Stevens. [player_tooltip player_id='1128444' first='Max' last='Jones'] and [player_tooltip player_id='348143' first='Ryken' last='Moon'] will likely have a field day running behind 6-7 340 pound Oregon Ducks commit [player_tooltip player_id='348139' first='Demetri' last='Manning'] and USC line commit [player_tooltip player_id='693682' first='Willi' last='Wascher'].

3.Lake Stevens, WA

You have to like Lake Stevens' chances of 3-peating with Washington Gatorade POY [player_tooltip player_id='348171' first='Kolton' last='Matson'] back and the state's top RB in [player_tooltip player_id='348138' first='Jayshon' last='Limar']. They have been nothing short of dominant the last five seasons, going 50-5 overall and playing in the last three state championship games.

4.Eastside Catholic WA

The loss of big man Kodi Greene hurts but Eastside should be considered a legit title contender for the foreseeable future. Underclassmen [player_tooltip player_id='652796' first='Liufau' last='Loumoli'] and [player_tooltip player_id='402799' first='Wassie' last='Lugolobi'] will rank as two of the top players in the nation for their class on D. Fellow 2026 standout [player_tooltip player_id='402787' first='Asa' last='Thompson'] will be listed among the top slot receivers in the country.

5.Central Catholic OR

The Oregon 6A state champs are loaded from top to bottom led by elite line recruit [player_tooltip player_id='406759' first='Zac' last='Stascausky'], who is committed to Minnesota. They will also feature five D1 offered athletes offensively in [player_tooltip player_id='402415' first='Killian' last='Sombe'], TE's [player_tooltip player_id='1187089' first='Seager' last='Milholen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='426922' first='Andreas' last='Nicolaidis'], along with WR's [player_tooltip player_id='1094734' first='Landon' last='Kelsey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='152653' first='Zhaiel' last='Smith']. That said as there are huge question marks with head coach Steve Pyne moving on and 3x Mt Hood POY Cru Newman graduating.

6.O'Dea WA

It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see O'Dea listed at the top of the charts and ranked among the top teams in the West. They will feature one of the top lines anywhere in the country, led by big-time 2026 recruits [player_tooltip player_id='284217' first='FA' last='Siale'] and [player_tooltip player_id='402788' first='David' last='Schwerzel'].

7.Camas WA

I wouldn't sleep on the Papermakers. They lost by 1 point to defending state champ Yelm to start the season last year, before going on to win the rest of their regular season games. Defensively they will be led by Washington St commit [player_tooltip player_id='723691' first='Luke' last='Webb'], a Cali transfer, and returning conference POY [player_tooltip player_id='693691' first='Nikko' last='Speer'].

8.Kennedy Catholic WA

The only games the Lancers lost last year was a 3-point season opener to Regis Jesuit HS of Aurora, Colorado and the state championship game to Lake Stevens. They return a host of talent including RB [player_tooltip player_id='1095820' first='Indiana' last='Jones'] who went for 28 TDs. Nationally ranked DE Derek Colman Brusa will represent along with an elite D1 secondary featuring the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='726164' first='Joey' last='Thomas'] III, [player_tooltip player_id='945853' first='Landen' last='Kahai'], and [player_tooltip player_id='726151' first='Dante' last='Saladino'].

9.Lake Oswego OR

2026 RB [player_tooltip player_id='402416' first='Lamarcus' last='Bell'] is the real deal, and the Lakers defense should be one of the best in the region, led by 2x 1st team all conference DL [player_tooltip player_id='285881' first='Lusiano' last='Lopez'] and 6-4 220-pound OLB [player_tooltip player_id='285849' first='Oliver' last='Macy']. The biggest question will be at QB where 6-4 200-pound incoming junior [player_tooltip player_id='402409' first='Hudson' last='Kurland'] makes the transfer from Sunset with ATH/QB [player_tooltip player_id='285866' first='Liam' last='Davis'] bringing back experience.

10.Skyview WA

I will take two GSHL teams to be two of the best in WA next season. Skyview graduates some legit talent but brings back POY favorite [player_tooltip player_id='693684' first='Gavin' last='Packer'] and 6-6 280-pound Oregon St commit [player_tooltip player_id='587332' first='Noah' last='Thomas']. Look for returning 1st team all-league DE [player_tooltip player_id='348167' first='Levi' last='Webb'] to be influential running the ball as well.
