is quietly one of the most dynamic athletes in New Jersey. Turn on the tape, and the athleticism is immediately evident. He moves smoothly, runs effortlessly, and shows natural fluidity in space.
As a defensive back, he’s even more impressive. Williams has elite turn-and-run ability at outside corner. He stays in phase, tracks the ball well, and consistently puts himself in position to make plays. He rarely gets beat deep, thanks to his foot speed and discipline in coverage.
His background as a wide receiver shows up. He understands route concepts, plays the ball confidently in the air, and shows strong instincts at the catch point.
Williams earned Prep Redzone Breakout Player of the Year, and the rankings now reflect it. He’s rated the No. 15 player in New Jersey and the No. 3 defensive back in his class. Camp season feels like the next step. This offseason has all the makings of when

A prospect that I have been screaming his name for those all the way in the back since I first peeped his game, Qua’Yon Williams is a gifted 3-way player that can break a game open in any phase.
As a returner, he is determined and sets his blockers up before accelerating through the seams. When he does accelerate, it is clear as day that he has a different gear. This gear is truly special, as it allows him to crop dust defenders who appear to have an angle on him.
Williams also has quick feet that allow him to gain clean, unimpeded releases at the line of scrimmage. Ball skills are also a part of his game, where we see Williams adjust and contort his body to the ball when hre must.
As a corner, he is instinctual and jumps routes in flooded zones to his side. Like any natural athlete, he catches the ball with his hands and can out jump just about anyone; he also moves laterally extremely well.
A bought-in perimeter player, Williams puts forth an honest and determined effort to block for his teammates.

name to that list. As a returner he has vision to set up his blockers before turning on the jets to toast a coverage team. Additionally, Williams can dig deep and find yet another gear to burn defenders who seem to have an angle. As fast as he moves his feet, they are also quick. At receiver his quick feet allow him to gain positioning for clean releases. Solid ball skills are demonstrated on tape too, as the 2027 graduate can contort himself to be in a competitive position to come up with the ball. Needless to say, he uses his hands to catch the ball. As a corner Williams shows reactive instincts that allow him to jump routes. Williams has tons of athleticism too. Able to quickly move well in all directions, I walked away impressed with his ability to laterally run. You would think that he is not one for physicality, right? Wrong. Williams has shown that he is the type of blocker who grinds whistle to whistle and fights hard to maintain his force leverage as a run supporter.
