In this article, we'll be highlighting some of the athletes I'm highest on, and who I think could be a steal if a program can pick up these players.

| [player_tooltip player_id='603747' first='Braylen' last='Naves'] | WR | 6'1 180 | Davison |

Braylen is an incredibly well rounded receiver that I have talked about many times now. He runs every route cleanly, he reels in contested balls, and he is incredibly quick once he gets the ball in his hand. I think if he ends up anywhere short of a MAC level school, it would be a huge steal. He has all of the potential in the world to be a legitimate D1 receiver, and I think he'll start to receive quite a bit more of that attention this fall.

| [player_tooltip player_id='551056' first='Brody' last='Betser'] | QB | 6'2 210 | Caledonia |

From the moment I saw him in person last season, I have been incredibly impressed by what Brody has been able to do. As far as D2 prospects go, I think Brody is a lottery pick kind of guy. I don't doubt there are even some D1 teams that could extend an offer before the dust settles, and I think it would be a steal. He's a heads up prospect in the pocket who can escape when needed, and he can be very accurate on a variety of throws whether he's in the pocket or moving. He reassured everything I thought of him at the Prep Redzone Hoosier State Hustle 7 On 7 tournament awhile back, and I can confidently say this is going to be a huge get for any school moving forward.

| [player_tooltip player_id='602221' first='Reid' last='Grimmer'] | QB | 6'3 175 | Spring Lake |

I know I've mentioned Reid a good amount over the last year, but I cannot help it. I even went back before this article to watch his Hudl again to make sure I wasn't too high on him. I really believe in what Grimmer can do. In the pocket, he's as poised as you would want from any QB, and he shows time and time again that with some time in the pocket, he can pick a defense apart. He has great deep ball power and accuracy, and he's just as lethal in finesse situations as well. I am dying to get to a Spring Lake game and am very determined to make it happen this season. Whoever winds up getting Reid is getting an already really good QB that has an incredibly high ceiling with some molding.

| [player_tooltip player_id='577658' first='Max' last='Macklem'] | ATH | 6'0 180 | Goodrich |

Now Max is already committed to CMU, but I just want to highlight what an incredible steal he is for the Chippewas. Max has done an incredible job of rounding himself out as an athlete, to the point where he can do anything. Defensively he is a very sure tackler who stays square and delivers some big hits. In coverage, he is very rangy and can cover a large amount of ground. He has good ball skills and does a great job of tracking the ball. Offensively, he is liable to take it to the house any opportunity he gets. His cuts are abrupt, he has great acceleration and burst. I wouldn't be shocked to see him get some time on either side of the ball. Mt. Pleasant is very lucky to be getting Max!

| [player_tooltip player_id='899608' first='Hunter' last='Conrad'] | LB | 5'9 225 | Belding |

I think there could be teams hesitant to offer him, but I think Hunter has the things you can't measure. He has all of the heart and leadership you could ever want. He's a downhill LB who delivers devastating hits, and truly wears on an offense after 4 quarters. He isn't as sideline to sideline as some other LBs, but he is a run stuffer who is able to drop back into coverage when necessary. I absolutely think he is D2 caliber right now, and if a D3 school is able to scoop him up, I think it's going to be a huge steal for them. Keep an eye out for Hunter to get some offers this camp season and especially in the fall.

| Donald "Trace" Corlew III | ATH | 6'0 175 | Gladwin |

Corlew is someone I am very familiar with, and have seen a large enough sample size to consider him a real hidden gem in the state of Michigan. He's a true 2 way player that is always a playmaker when he's on the field. Offensively, he runs a good amount of routes, runs them fairly cleanly, and makes things happen after the catch. He is shifty and can make guys miss with ease, and then burst downfield for big gains. Defensively, Corlew is a good cover guy who has long arms and makes it extremely difficult to get separation. He plays the ball extremely well and rarely gets truly beaten. Whoever lands him will be very satisfied with the hard working kid they get.
